Has anyone had an experience with this place? Has anyone had or known someone who had a good experience here? http://letstalkyorkie.com/ Is this place a puppy mill or is it a good place to buy a puppy from?:confused::confused: |
I don't like her guarantee. . The buyer is to take puppy to a veterinarian of their choice within 3 business days of purchase for a “Well Puppy Visit” and to validate good health. Ill nesses not covered within the first 7 business days are dehydration, diarrhea, or hypoglycemia as these can be prevented or easily corrected and are common when puppies move to a new home. I provide a one (1) year, from whelping date guarantee for life threatening genetic health issues which result in death. Illness must be documented in writing by a licensed vet within 48 hours and will be verified by a vet of the sellers choice. In the event puppy is found to have a life threatening genetic defect, puppy will be replaced with one of like sex and quality when a puppy is available. No cash refunds will be given. All sales are final. Seller will not be responsible for any type of veterinarian bill or medication for puppy. I do not guarantee against Parvo , Corona, Coccidiosis, Giardia, Hernias, or Collapsed Tracheal, Hypoglycemia, and Patellar Luxation since these may involve trauma or environmental issues. You get the puppy and in 48 hrs if it had a defect no refund? What if theres no other puppy available. Patella can be a breed problem. Other then that I have no opinion because I don't know her |

I know this breeder, Let's Talk Yorkie, to be very reputable. To those complaining about the guarantee, you need to come to grips with the fact we can't guarantee everything AND keep prices where you want them. Being "reputable" means we've demonstrated over time that we care deeply about our breeding and step up and work with you when things go wrong. :) By the way, I think she's saying to have the puppy checked by a vet withing 48 hours for an initial wellness check, and further to notify within 48 hours of diagnosis should a serious life threatening congenital/genetic defect appear. This is where reputation plays a role. Interview the breeder about just what all that means. |

But in all reality the breeders I know do a puppy wellness check before you buy.So if they have a good Vet they would most likely know before your Vet check. And they wouldn't sell the puppy. It could have been wording wrong or I am miss reading but seems to me I read it right |

That why all I said is I don't like here guarantee but I don't know her. If you get a sick pup you should be able to get your $$ back within 48hrs. Or they should say sold without a guarantee. Then I wouldn't buy until I had MY Vet check. But it could be miss worded. I bought a pup and had the breeder add some stuff so it was in writing. I wouldn't go after the breeder for anything anyways. Unless they put it in a guarantee and something happens genetic. I would have them full fill the guarantee. But the breeder I know have clauses like dogs need wellness checks every year and not to be severe over weight. Buying a dog from a stranger is hard to do. So many crooks makes me skeptical of everyone jmo |

To clarify the questions about my contract ... ALL of my puppies are seen by my vet a few days before going to their new homes and the buyer receives a copy of the report from my vet along with a detailed shot and worming record including when and how the rest of the pups immunizations should be administered. They then take the puppy to a vet of their own choosing to verify their puppy is healthy. I can not, nor can any other breeder, guarantee something we have no control over --- if a buyer does not feed their puppy according to the written and verbal instructions they are given I can not be responsible if the puppy sugar crashes. I can not guarantee knees if a buyer lets their puppy jump off the sofa. What I can and do guarantee is that the puppy was healthy and structurally sound when they were sent home with their family. Fortunately, it has never happened that a puppy would need to be returned for a genetic or medical issue and I pray that it never does. I do appreciate the comments though, and if ironmike86 or anyone else has any suggestions about how to make buyers feel more comfortable with my contract I would be open to hearing them and you are welcome to contact me directly. If I'm not mistaken, the OP yorkieeee was asking if anyone had personal experience with me (good or bad) and this thread has not answered her question yet so I would like to invite yorkieeee to take a look at the Lets Talk Yorkie Facebook page where many of my puppy families comment on a regular basis. You are also welcome to contact me directly and I would be happy to put you in touch with as many families as you would like to speak with to hear their experiences first hand. Susan |
I'm not talking about misfortunes. The 48 hour Vet Check. If my Vet finds something genetic you will replace the puppy. But if there isn't one theres no refund. I would think I could have my $$ back. As long as the puppy was in the same condition when you let it go. Within a 48 hr Vet check. |
Its just the way I interrupt the contract. Guess the best way is the buyer to look on your FB and ask there like you said. Meet actual ppl and see your breeding lines. |
I appreciate that you are looking out for my potential puppy families but if you knew me, knew of my reputation, had ever been in my home, met my dogs and their puppies, or spoken to anyone who does know me you would not have these concerns. My reputation is pristine and it got that way and stays that way because I do the right thing by my dogs, their puppies and the families who get my puppies and I don't need a piece of paper to make me do it, I do it because it's who I am and what I do. |
I can't personally vouch for this breeder because I have never had any experience myself with her, but living on Long Island myself, I have taken notice of everything I have read or heard about her. It has all been very positive, and I definitely think you should consider contacting families who have her babies. |
