Shes been breathing heavy last couple days. Todas i have seen her very isolated. |
What did her xray show as far as how many pups she is having, and if they are going to fit through her pelvic ring? |
Shes having 4 & are good size. Her temp is 99.2 today No pups yet. Still hiding under toddler bed. Had diarrea today. Eating 1-2 bites. Drinking good. Her vulva & surrounding very swollen. Her vulva having a discharge i noticed this since yesterday & about a week ago too. Day 61 from first breeding. |
I crate my expectant moms so we dont end up with puppies born all over the house, in places where I cant get to momma and babies! I always assist my ladies during whelping...."we" have the pups together, everyone is calm and cool and safe, soft music playing, I rub her tummy between babies.... and I can see what is happening immediately, at any moment. If she needs help, I am right there. |
I put her in a nice warm & dark place. She just ate a can of food acting back normal again. Like nothing. I think im too worried she doesnt go into labor. |
Everyone She had 5 & shes doing great. Now my only problem. 2 of the placentas detached while the pup was coming so idk . Im taking her later today to the vet. Thank you From my experience i can say Dogs start to show labor signs 1 week before. She whelped day 65-66 basically. All big healthy pups. 3 girls 2 boys |

I am glad everything went well. Make sure the momma eats lots of good food and make sure you give her a calcium supplement. |

They are very active & cute. Healthy , always nursing. Does anyone know when can they be bathed !? & how ? With just water? Or puppy shampoo? |
I never bath puppies until they are much older. Usually around 8 weeks. Mom should be keeping them clean. Once they start eating mush you can wipe them with a damp clothe to freshen them up. |
