Hey you Breeders................ If you are one of those who tilt the female up after mating, do you really believe it gives you more puppies? Mr. Big has become a man today and Lacijo may become a mother in 2 months. I was just wondering if tilting her would help or if it's your opinion that it makes no difference. Sylvia |
I don't think it matters. Sperms swims... :D |

tilting Does not matter..can not nurt. |
I do it until to carry her outside so she doesn't drip on my carpet  |
The things we do for our litle ones. It defintily takes a special person to own Yorkies. |
I dont think it has any bearing. wanted to edit this...what i have done is make sure she doesnt go piddle right after they are done. i will put the girl in a crate on a bed so she doesnt pee pee for a good 30 mins... |

Ive only heard of this done after AI never after a natural breeding Kimberly |
Yeah, my mom had poodles when I was young and we were told this but we never needed to do it. All of our females produced good sized litters. I don't remember ever having a litter of one or two. I believe 3 was our smallest litter with 5 or 6 being the norm. I figured it was an old wives tale. Probably created when women couldn't conceive, like Sugar's mom was saying. And then AI came along. I just thot I'd get everyone's opinion on it. LOL Sylvia |
I thought you were supposed to hold them by their back legs and give them a good shake? Hee hee..... Ive never tilted them but I dont think it would hurt either. |
I learn something new on here all the time. I never heard of not letting them pee for thirty min. but will take the advice. My daughter's yorkie was just bred last week and the owner of the sire lifted her up afterwards, first time i had seen that done also.I haven't had a lot of time to get on here since the hollidays and I miss it. |
Interesting, I guess everyone's mentor has a different idea! I hold them up for a good 10 minutes after AI or natural AND I don't let her go to pee for 30 minutes! I guess no harm done..... |
