This will make you sick Talking about the ruination of our breed. Look at this and think of all the litters that are NOT registered because not all require spay/neuter. http://www.akc.org/reg/litter_stats.cfm |

I pride myself in answering emails promptly but a few I just dont answer. The one liners like "What is your bottom dollar" and "whats a female go for" and thats the extend of the email, well I just dont typically answer them. Im definitely not pompous or arrogant, and Im not raising the cream of the crop either ( and if I was wouldnt give me the right to be a jerk :) but those emails just turn me off. I like the people who address me by name because that means they have actually looked and read, I like the people who ask questions and dont drill me like a sergeant their first email, I love questions , but a buyer who asks 20 questions their first email and you put all that time in and they never respond with even a thank you, well Im not fond of those either. Typically I get the impression, from these kind of emails the people are on the defense and looking for a problem from the get go. Nothing wrong with being educated, informed , and you just plain have to be careful of the dishonest.......but most breeders I feel are not this way. Theres alot of goodhearted, good to their word breeders out there. Most who are worth their grain of salt will go above and beyond their guarantees to make things right, after the fact. Even when its not in writing. SOmetimes not answering an email is based simply because they dont get a good feeling. We want are babies going to the best homes. I know of a few right here on Yorkie talk by reputation alone. I didnt deal with them but someone else did, and they are admired for the person and breeders that they are. Word gets around, maybe not tomorrow but maybe the next day......lol. ..........The caring breeders who stayed up all night, handfed, stroked baby bellies, mama bellies, read, sang, even cussed, used more paper towels then the law allows, watched the eyes open, watched them walk, watched them tug on each others tails,........just basically want the babies to go to a good home and sometimes a simple email can cause concern...........it can be a stressful time to chose homes for babies............doesnt always mean our choices are right but does mean we do have the best interest of the puppies in heart. Just one persons view here. |

Excuse me, but why do I owe it to anyone. I don't go out and advertise "Puppies for Sale" . People see my site and like the looks of some of my dogs and want one like them. I don't even advertise that I am a breeder, and I don't feel I owe any response if I don't feel good about the inquirey. |

Owning a yorkie is a privelege not a right, and if you are the breeder you can pick and chose. ..........On the other hand I have inquired about yorkies and got thee "boot" I just wasnt their cup of tea, or so to speak they didnt want me owning their dogs......its okay its their right........am I mad about it?......NO.....if they dont feel right about you they shouldnt sell to you. |

Hahaha! Oh yes...that will bring an instant e-mail! I spoke with a Breeder here in Chicago who had a woman call her up and ask about buying a Yorkshire Terrier from her. This woman said they had "redecorated" their home and their other dog (14 years old) didn't match the decore anymore! So they were "getting rid" of the Lhaso Apso and wanted a yorkie...can you believe it? Francie |
