Breeder Facts! I thought this would be fun if every breeder would post info about themselves. How long have you been breeding: 5 yrs since I started 3 yrs of having pups Registries: AKC Clubs you are a member of: Lorain County Kennel Club How many Yorkies do you own: 6 Do you show in UKC or AKC events? Hope to start in 2006 Do you offer stud service: No Do you sell your pups on s/n contracts? My pups are altered before leaving Do you test for Liver Shunt? Yes. I do a full blood panel and then follow up with a BA if neccesary. |
How long have you been breeding: 5 yrs studying under mentors, our Oct litter was the first of our own Registries: CKC Clubs you are a member of: none How many Yorkies do you own: 1, but I guess you could say I 'co-own/breed' two others (father's and sister's) Do you show in UKC or AKC events? no, to my knowledge, there are never any in the area Do you offer stud service: No Do you sell your pups on s/n contracts? depends on the pup and the individual getting it Do you test for Liver Shunt? Yes, even though there is no history of it in the bloodline |

facts I have been breeding for 33 years. I am a member of two Yorkie clubs. Yorkshire Terrier Club of the Nations Capitol and pending membership in the FLorida Gold Coast club. I breed AKC Yorkies, numbers vary as most are now co-owned. I have finished several champions and hope to finish Kate. I do not offer stud service here in Florida but can in Md. Pups are sold as S/N pets, unless to a friend who shows and breeds. All breeding stock is checked for LS and all pups will be placed after a BA test. |

Limited unless I have a trusted relationship with a breeder, I have only placed one female todate in a breeding home that's being mentored by a dear trusted friend. This little gal might enter the show ring we are waiting for a few more months to determine that. Do you test for Liver Shunt? full blood panel and soundness check, no followups have been necessary. |

How long have you been breeding: I have been showing and breeding since 1992 Member clubs: YTCA, Ohio Valley YTC Ky, Kokomo Kennel Club Registries: AKC, some in UKC How many yorkies do you own? Some days, too many. I also have a puff chinese crested Do you show in AKC or UKC events? Yes, AKC and occasionally in UKC. Have also shown at FCI shows in PR. I have over 20 yorkie champions, with half being home-bred champions. I also have 2 CC champions and have shown my pomeranian to his CD title in OB. In 2004, I had the #1 yorkie bitch in the US. I currently have a male needing his majors, and some puppies up and coming. Do you offer stud service. Only to approved bitches. My males are not at public stud. Do you sell on s/n contracts? Yes, if not already s/n before leaving. Also pets sold on limited registration only Do you test for liver shunt? Not routinely. I do check all show potential pups. Ok, since this seems to be driving some folks crazy if all the breeders don't post their facts :p :) How long have you been breeding: I had my first litter in 1995. Registries: AKC, CKC, CBKC/FCI Clubs you are a member of: None yet. How many Yorkies do you own: 8 adults (2 of which are not in my program) and 3 puppies. Do you show in UKC or AKC events? Not yet. I'm learning with mentor from Forsyth Kennel Club. Do you offer stud service: Not on a regular basis, but I have in the past with someone I really trusted. Do you sell your pups on s/n contracts? Yes. Do you test for Liver Shunt? Normally, no. I have on certain pups. |

How long have you been breeding: I have been involved for over 30 years now and I am holding it to that number so no one can guess just how old I am getting. Registries: AKC Clubs you are a member of: YTCA, OVYTC, Dayton KC and many others I have since dropped out of. How many Yorkies do you own: Right now 8, but as with any breeder it varies Do you show in UKC or AKC events? AKC Do you offer stud service: No. Do you sell your pups on s/n contracts? All pets are spayed/neutered before leaving my home. Do you test for Liver Shunt? I do any testing that is necessary. I do not keep dogs and breed from any dog with known problems being produced consistently in the background. I have never kept littermates of problem dogs. I do not breed dogs that have known health issues in the lines. I keep few dogs and because of that I tend to be rather anal on anything with possible health issues. |

Do you offer stud service: not at this time, may begin this year with approved females being tested for std before service. Do you sell your pups on s/n contracts? Yes. This is new for us, and we are adopting this policy with the majority. Do you test for Liver Shunt? no not routinely but have, may be a policy we adopt in the future. A complete love of breeding, dabbling of breeding with Tennessee Walking horses in the past and showing, Raised Siberian Huskies yrs ago on a very small scale, both girls retired and kept for pets until their death 5 yrs ago. Yorkie puppies generally kept here until 8 to 14 weeks, based on individual personalities, maturity and size. |
