Vet says give bella calcium ????????? SO I TOOK BELLA FOR ANOTHER CHECK UP, COMES TO FIND OUT BELLA DUE DATE WAS MISLEAD, IDK HOW CAN I MISSED THAT, BUT THE VET IS GIVING HER TIL SATURDAY OR ITS C-SECTION, THEIR TELLING ME TO GIVE HER CHILDRENS CALCIUM DAILY, BUT IDK IM ON PINS AND NEEDLES BECAUSE I COULD OF SWORN TOO MUCH CALCIUM ISNT GOOD FOR THE PUPS,:confused: |
If she is on a good prenatal diet, she should NOT need additional calcium. Did vet do blood work and see that Bellas calcium was low or is he just throwing that out there. Seems like he may be thinking giving the calcium at this point may stimulate labor.....I never give calcium until after my lady starts having babies and becomes tired and does not want to push anymore...a little calcium or even a little glucose will usually start her back up, along with feathering....Pre birth doses of calcium can cause eclampsia....so unless her levels are low pre-labor, I dont go there. I always have that included in my pre labor blood work, so I know my baseline. Do you now know foe certain when Bella is due, so you wont be delivering babies too early and end up with premature babies. |
Did she have her pups? I hope everything went well. |
