Pooping on the floor instead of on the her wee wee pad
 
Can anyone help me and tell me how I can get my 21 month old Yorkie (Bella) to stop pooping on he floor and poop on the wee wee pad. I'm so frustrated with her. There are times when she does it on the wee wee pad and she knows but other times she just does it on the floor. She has pooped on her pad while it was wet from pee so that cannot be the reason. Help! So frustrated!:confused::aimeeyork

uggh, frustrating isn't it? A few day adhered to your side with the leash and a poopy party everytime he makes it on the pad....I really think your almost there....

You might want to have this thread moved to the training section? Until then go look around in that section there is a lot of information there to help with potty training.

P.s. I have one that starts on the pad but then starts walking away mid way through...strangest thing I ever dealt with!

LOL. I have one who stands on the pad, but her bottom is always pointed away from the edge. We give her credit for trying ;)

How do you think Turbo got his name? He'll squat to poop on the pee pad that's in the bathroom & he'll take off running, leaving poopie trails! TG it's always firm & easy to pick up loll. He doesn't do it as much now & he prefers to go outside. But the funny thing is, he doesn't do that when he's outside. So I'm thinking it's the leash, it prevents him from running while pooping.
OP, you can make the designated pee area bigger & as she consistently uses it every time, you can make it smaller. We also don't have any rugs here, they (mine) can't tell the difference!

I have this issue on occasion, and you re right....."A" for effort! I also have a "walking pooper".....as soon as all 4 little feet clear the peepad and hit the floor, she is corrected. This is a work in progress!

Have you tried treating when she does hit the pad? Also picking it up and placing it on the pad and telling her that is where she goes? It didn't take us long to train Lolo that way and she had been a breeder kept in a cage her entire life. They are very smart and love to please their human so lots of praise when they do it right.
