Help with my Yorkie Hi every one! I am going to stud out my yorkie stud tuesday...tuesday is the females 13 day of heat ... i read alot on how people should let the dogs tie more than once the lady im breeding giorgio with only wants to do 1 tie is that ok? :aimeeyork |
Hello! Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I can’t help you with any advice, but there is a lot of reputable breeders on here that will be able to give you the advice you need, however I just want to make sure you know all the repercussions of studding your male out..?? |
I would honestly get your male neutered. It wouldn't be worth it to me. I was getting almost harassed when Peanut was a puppy and he wasn't neutered yet- So many people would come up and give me their numbers… telling me they wanted to use him for their female- Me personally wouldn't want that for him. I want him as my baby and once you stud them out they can act different.. After you stud they go from your sweet innocent baby to grown Men!! I have heard it is almost impossible to stop them from marking even after you neuter. Also you will have to put up with him being nervous and anxious every time he smells a female in heat- they can smell them from 10 miles. Did you know the number one cause of death in un-neutered male dogs is due to injuries caused by being hit by a car, un-neutered males are also likely to run away. I know in the end it is up to you, but please research this- this will be a long term choice. Know the facts before you make that call. |
If she only wants one tie make her sign a contract that says that if she is not pregnant is NOT your responsibility, a breeding should be at least 2 or 3 ties , I mate my dogs every other day . hugs, |
