Question about a breeder Hi I'm pretty new to this forum. I've been doing my research on yorkie breeders without limiting my location because I'm curious as to quality of health and the stock of there dogs. I came across Ohio ~ JaLa Yorkies ~ Yorkshire Terriers for pets and show. I like her stock and the way her puppies looks. I really would like to know if anyone has purchased a pet quality or show quality dog from her. I live in ny. I'm trying not to travel that far but her dogs caught my eye :). If any of you have other suggestions\ breeder referrals that would be great. I just went through a breeder post you had up but nothing close to ny nj pa area really came up. Thanks so much for your responses and time Noelle :animal-pa:animal-pa |
I dont know how to say this bit I love how thick sturdy almost boxy her dogs all look. Beautiful. |
I know right !! lol I just like the continuity of the look of her dogs. :) thanks so much for your comment. |

Thank you Maggiesmom and bchgirl for the comments. I tried emailing them but no response yet :( maybe a phone call would be much better :) and obviously more personable :). |
It's great to hear such great reviews, and their dogs look beautiful. They seem really committed to the health and well-being of their pups. I understand why breeders may be hesitant to sell dogs before they are spayed/neutered, but I would be too worried about the health risks later on with such early spay/neutering. Perhaps there is an option to withhold all paperwork until you have provided proof of spay/neutering once the puppy's growth plates have closed. At this point, this would be my only hesitation with this breeder. |

Some give a deposit return after proof of apay neuter. Thankfully most reputable breeders only sell on limited registration with spay neuter clausrses in sales contracts, thia should detour most and breeders try cery hard to screen buyers. |
Beautiful Yorkies these ladies have!!! |
Hmm I never thought of the health risks if neutured to early. She likes to hold on to them till they are "14-16 weeks". Is that the right or proper age for them to be neutered then. Very good point lisaly!! Thanks :) |
I had always heard of the risk of urinary incontinence if pups are spayed/neutered too early, and I also wanted to wait with a Yorkie to see if their baby teeth fell out and had any baby teeth needing to be pulled at the same time while under anesthesia. From reading on YT and talking extensively with a dear friend about this, I now would prefer to wait until after the growth plates would be closed, which would be after the first heat. I did read on this breeder's website that not all pups are spayed/neutered before they leave. They look like wonderful breeders, and I think it's very sad that, because of people who don't abide by their agreement to spay/neuter their pups, some breeders are choosing to do this before their pups leave. The following is an interesting thread discussing early/spay neutering: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...n-if-ever.html |

When I sell a puppy, the owners are shown the parent's registration papers, and the litter registration application, as well as the 3 year generation pedigree I get when I register the litter. They are told they will receive the registration application papers for their puppy when they send me the spay/neuter verification on the vets letterhead. Never has been a problem or an issue! I will have them write at the very top of the application, the pets name, so that when I send the paper to them, they KNOW there has been no shuffling or switching papers...they get the same application THEY wrote the pets name on, at the top. |
I have never heard of this breeder, but looking at the website, the pups are BEAUTIFUL!! I would definately buy from them. |
Never heard of her, but VERY impressed with website and pups!!! Beautiful babies! And she seems to do things right! |
They have some really beautiful quality dogs! I think you couldn't go wrong getting a pup from these folks, the only thing would be you'd have to wait, as they have no puppies available. They do have 4 year old Katie available, she is stunning:) Hey, you could skip the puppy phase and skip right to a beautiful young adult;) |
