FYI, I am NOT A FULL TIME DOG BREEDER! I am a "Hobby" breeder. if you have the slightest clue what that means... I own TWO AKC CHAMPION Dogs. I don't give out FULL BREEDING RIGHTS, but they will HAVE AKC Registration Papers - just means the buyer have no right to breed my dogs. Sounds like you have NO idea what you are talking about. I don't breed my dogs for the sake of 'money'.. It's why I breed from time to time, and let years go by before I 'breed' again. I don't breed my dogs every heat. They are my dogs and I paid a lot on both of them. This is just a 'hobby' to me. You probably need to do a bit more research before you open your mouth on this forum. Yea I don't participate here all the time. Why do I have to give you reason? lol if you care so much, I am currently in graduate school at the moment and I am extremely busy writing thesis, research, essay, critical analysis paper, you probably don't even know what those are. Thanks... but it's really none of your business right? :)
PS. There is NO need to insult people here afterall, you are no better than anyone. Sounds like a little self-esteem issue and insecurities there? :) |
Thank Goodness this person admits to being a hobbyist breeder. This is reason to cheers. I couldnt imagine being excited buying a lifelong family member who is feom a person who basically does this for fun. Much less in college trying to focus on good grades and lord knows what else. Exactly why Im so excited to settle down with 2 dogs. Bc I know && feel in my heeart I am able to provide 100% to their wants & needs. Vet bills, healthy food, training, love, attention to grooming. Etc. Bc I have had someone invade my privacy as a child and took my loving dog from me. God knew what he was doing when he did not let me get a dog on my time. Only his. Shweeeeew...... Thankful for that. I would probably be the uneducated dummy who lives 2 blocks from this fool trying to buy bc he or she is local. My point is.... I love this breed so much. I want to make sure of the following when purchasing my personal yorkie. Hopefully this will help others realize why this is OFF.!
1. I make sure when I search for breeders they have no RED flags. Ie: teacups partycolors rare etc.
2. All MY dogs need to be AKC registered NO EXCEPTION!
3. My breeders intention needs to be VERY clear to me. They are in it to truly better the breed. Not make a profit bc bills are piling up or they need to get through school. Etc.
4. I will NEVER buy a dog who is not willing to sell on a spay/neuter contract. If they are. This basically means Yeah I could care less who breeds my dog. Ill just charge more for the honest ones and that should do it. Its irresponsible ans selfish in soooooo many reasons.
5. Health Guarantee which is typically for a year. Why goodness it takes about that time for you to really get the dog settled in amd trained. If not longer. This short time is a timeframe in which rarely any fault exists. READ CONTRACTS thoroughly.! This is why lawyers make a killing off of this particular specialization. FACT!
6.I want my dog to be the happiest it will ever be in my care. I know I will do my part but truly I agree with what was said on here previously. You are purchasing the breeder. Not the pups. Bc in my opinion they are all adorable. Will they meet all health standards? This is why we buy from those reputable breeders who have nothing negative said about them. Please research the breeder!
7. If the breeder your dealing with cannot provide factual information. Or something ever seems a bit funny. Always go with your gut that something may be wrong.
8. A breeder NEVER will breed for ANYTHING purposfully out of standard or what is recommended. Meaning a dam should NEVER be less than 5lbs when mating.
9. All puppies should come with some type of health certification also from a reputable vet. Shots need to be UTD & physical condition needs to be checked.
10. Last but not least. ANYONE can say. Not everyone can do. Please make sure you are completly READY for a new pet. Dont sake a puppys life just bc you had the extra cash at the time and the puppies looked so cute. An animal is not a gucci purse or a fancy bracelet. They are a life which needs to be cherished. Contact local rescues and forums such as this and REACH out. Finding the right breeder WILL take time. Anything in life that comes to you that easily usually isnt worth it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE spay/neuter your pet for you AND your pets sake.
No argument. I like many others just want to make sure these pups and adult doggies are treated with love bc they have no voice. WE are that!
