My fale Yorkie having nausea only after a few days Hello, I have a Yorkie that was breed on April 25th. She is already having nausea and throwing up. Is there anything I can give her to help with her nausea and is this common to be having symptoms so soon? Thanks :) |
Do u have a mentor? |
A mentor? I have had several Yorkies throughout my 43 years. I always got them fixed but noticed that when my females would get older, they acted weird and became obsessed with they're baby toys. I was told by my step mother to let my female have 1 litter before getting her fixed. So, I did it with my female Yorkie back in 1999. Hence after doing so, she didn't exhibit any of the previouse problems when she got older. I am not a breeder but now again, I have a female Yorkie. I want to get her fixed but decided to breed her just the one time. I found a male stud through a lady that just has a stud service. The male is a proven stud that has an awesome pedigree and health certificates. My Mentor, as I think you asked, would have been my step mother but she passed away a year ago from brain cancer. I could ask my vet, since he gave me a clear check to have my female breed. But I don't want to constantly bother him to ask simple questions. My other yorkie didn't have any problems at all. So, I was hoping to get on here and ask for some help and any info about the nausea and vomiting. I have tried to look up anything on nausea for yorkies who are pregnant but all I can find is info on puppies with nausea. I don't know why she is showing nausea symptoms so early. Just wanted to know if this is common and what I can give her to help. Thanks again... |
Phew I thought we had a new breed of dog -Fale :) Cute type for a female = fale. Here is a website that might have some answers to your questions:Dog Breeding and Canine Reproduction by Debbie Jensen. Dog Breeding and Whelping guide for dog breeders. If you are only feeding dry, you might try a bit of pro biotic yogurt in with her food. A bit = tsp full. Also feed more often smaller amounts and see if she keeps it down. But if she is repeatedly vomiting - trip to vet is in order Good luck with the pregnancy and whelp. But I hope you did check all the studs pre breeding tests on the appropriate health sites. OFA, CERF, CHIC. |
Thank You! I also called my vet... |
Cozy vomited her entire first pregnancy due to morning sickness but I did not start til 2 weeks after the tie occurred. |
