Baby doll or teddybear? What's the difference between a baby doll yorkie and a teddygbear yorkie? I think Milo is a 'teddybear'. I can't tell too much of a difference. Are these just differences when they're puppies or can you really tell a big difference when they're adults? If anyone can post pictures or websites with the actual diffrences I'd appericiate it. I'm begining to think it's just a ploy to get more money from one then the other. :animal-sm |
I'm not certain, but have been told that the difference is the muzzle of the dog. The "babydoll" is smaller and more delicate looking and the "teddybear" muzzle is a tad broader. There are breeders on the forum that are probably more knowledgeable and will know more about it than I. This is just what I was told. ;) |
Bump! Just wondering about this myself. Any breeders know? |
I was wondering the same thing. |
I would like to know the same thing. |
"Baby dolls" usually have a shorted muzzle, rounder eye and more dome on the head. This isn't correct but cute as can be. The only ones I seen referred to as "teddy Bear" had woolly/soft coats that made for very fuzzy pups. I don't use either term. |
Teddy Bear Face Photo 1 Attachment(s) I have heard of both terms and even though they are NOT the breed standard, I have an amazingly cute little guy with these features, short wide nose with floppy ears and big round eyes....see attached photo. Kemfy |
Awww, that is an adorable little teddy bear!!!!!! |
what does my baby look like what does my baby look like |
Here breeders called the shorter nose ones " Babydoll face " and the longer ones " Pixie face " . I don't know why the second one is named like that . |
I agree with CC. I have only seen wooly, soft non-silky coats referred to as teddy bear or just bear. It only referred to the coat and not the facial characteristics.. |
