If you do a search on YT, you will find several threads about Glenda Beaver. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...vers-pups.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ore-issue.html There are more, but I can't find them all right now. |
Wow just read the second thread, that is so sad. Op, welcome to YT!!!! Here is a link to the yorkies fir sale/wanted forum. Yorkies For Sale or Wanted - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community Please take the time to read the threads at the top of the forum. There are threads such us buying from a pet store, internet buying, etc. They help point out things you might not have known of before, and they can help you avoid heartbreak. The only true advice I can give you is buy your breeder first. When Searching for a new forever fur friend, don't go looking for puppies. All puppies are cute and can capture our hearts in a second. You need to search and look at the breeder. Are their methods/reasons for Bree it ethical? Will they be there for you for the next 15 years? (for as long as you and your pup are together) Are you confident this person will help with advice/support/encouragement if something were to go wrong? |
I've heard only good things--- I know there was some stuff posted on this site some time ago that I'm inclined to dismiss as none of our business. Except for that I've heard nothing but good about her dogs and breeding quality. I did speak with one exhibitor in NE recently who raved about Glenda as being the best she's ever dealt with as far as quality and professionalism. :) |
Hi thanks guys and gals!! I have looked up things on her and hear nothing but good about her and her dogs and ethics!!! i think sometimes things get mixed up about people and if you sell a dog to someone you cant always stop them from doing bad with your dog, its sad but what can you do!! i think through the years people may make bad choices they wish they might not have, but we are all human and i think in most cases its a learning lesson and a thing you say later might be oops or i will never do that again no one is perfect!! i think to be in the dog world as long as she has you have to have had a few oops moments but in the real world who doesn't have them moments ya know..... i am getting my lil girl from her we cant be more happy at this moment i will let you know as soon as we get her but it should be one of them moments where you say YES WE HAVE A NEW MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY AND SHE IS SOOOOO GREAT!!:animal36:aimeeyork:animal-pa:D |
I think I read a thread on here just recently that someone on YT got a Yorkie from her. |

Really? You don't believe the way a breeder deals with other areas of their life reflects their true values? Not to rehash the older (and very long) threads, but as the saying goes, your ethics are what you do when when you think no one else is looking. Either it's ALWAYS alright for breeder to ship dogs to petstores (either their own or others) or it's NEVER ok. I tend to believe the later to be true. |
update on my post i was just trying to be a good dog buyer we have done alot of research and talking we decided...... we are getting our puppy from glenda and i think she is a sweet lady and she has beautiful dogs i think her ethics are good as well, from what i have researched.....i will let all of you know how it turns out, i get her from the airport on monday yayyy!!! please everyone be careful not to slander or hurt peoples reputation or feelings and i am happy to hear from both sides but on my end from where i see things!!! she does alot of hard work for her dogs its her whole life!!!:aimeeyork:animal36:animal-pa :thumbs up:lovewings:eyeballpc:yorkietal:ghug::yorkiej: |
I would just like to point out that for something to reach the level of slander, you have to know the statement is false and use it anyway. Seriously, I don't know this woman from Adam. Her dogs are pretty, I'll give her that. I wish you luck and much happiness with your new furbutt. In the end, you are the only one that has to live with your decisions. |

Wow. Either you already had a deal to purchase a dog from Glenda or you got incredibly lucky. I've never heard of a show breeder having a pup available on such short notice. Most have long waiting lists. Good luck with your little one. |
