Thank you so much for pointing her in my direction!:D I am happy to spare someone the heartache and I just hope everyone else who is looking to purchase from her does some research. I left a review on her puppyfind.com account and I hope people take heed to that as well. It is a shame when all you are looking for is a good companion and new best friend and you find so many shady people! I wish there was a way that more regulation can be involved just like with other "businesses".

I will be praying that things go well for you as you meet this breeder and please trust your instincts! If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't!

I'm Kathy Owens of Owensk9.net and yes you contacted me about a puppy and I saw you were very afraid of getting something sickly---I understand that and I told you by email to find a breeder you had trust in . I've had dogs for my whole life--I've raised yorkies for years. And done very well I might ad. I've just found out when a TRUE FRIEND called me and told me I was being bashed on Yorkie talk !! Why am I NOT suprised !! That's why I don't post---don"t talk to any one Because of the WAY good people are talked about and abused !! I put the health of my dogs next to ANYONES !! I've never sold a sick dog or injured dog to anyone. Some one I sold a puppy to is bashing me to you all about Coccidia---SHE NEVER CALLED ME !!! This is the first I've heard of it !! That litter of puppies was Vet checked before shipping--and a fecal was done---NO COCCIDIA__NO WORMS__NOTHING was found. And even if it was what one of you GOOD BREEDERS have NEVER had Coccidia---I don't believe a one of you haven't EVER had worms , coccidia of giardia !
I think some of you SHOW people are just mad I got my kamikaze finshed and he is now a Champion and I did it without any of you all's help !! I didn't buy from you---and I will NOT buy from you ! I had to go to Brazil to buy Kamikaze and Graffity but that's what I did ! I've got good dogs--healthy dogs and I did it without any of your help !! Soooo talk on it wont stop my breeding program and if ANY one wants a Heathy puppy that is guaranteed --let me know that's what I raise. Nice pets for a good price--and yes even some show quality yorkies as well !

Trish sold me a lovely male--Sooner ! I know Donna is on yorkie talk ! She has seen me at shows --Donna what do you think about the condition of the dogs I show--will you say ?? I've never harmed or talked ugly about any of you--is any one going to defend me or just let the gossip roll !! I practice good breeding and health on my dogs and that's all I have to say ! Like it or not I'll keep breeding yorkies !!

I've responded to this thread---Brooke is a complainer and trouble maker---this litter was vet checked and nothing was found in the fecal ---NOTHING. She never called or email she had ANY PROBLEM !!! EVER this is the first I've heard of ANY problem . Kathy Owens

I stated on my review a disclaimer about all of this. I did not want anyone speaking about you or your breeding practices UNLESS they had first hand experience. No one is accusing you of anything. Everyone is stating the facts. And it is not the responsibility of your "friends" to defend you. If they have not purchased a dog from you how could they come to your defense for something they have no knowledge of. Not to mention no one is speaking of your show dogs but of your PUPPIES. You get defensive for no reason. No one is saying you are a horrible person. ONLY YOU can change the way you do things.

I have tried contacting you on several occasions. You have YET to ask about Niko. You left us but most importantly HIM high and dry. He did nothing wrong to anyone...he did not ask to be born or sold so this is not his fault. It is my fault from not sticking to my better judgement on breeding practices and your fault for not caring more for your pup(s).

Be careful how you make yourself come across because you can do more damage to your breeding program than any of us can. There are some things you mentioned in your post that was probably better left unsaid. Just Think About It!

I personally would never buy from you even if you aquired your breeding stock from Mars. With your nasty attitude and defensiveness, all I can say it speaks volumes from your character.

REread the thread and see how YOU are the only one who came and bashing YTers by basically saying they have nothing better to do than spend time on here to talk trash about folks.

I have read your responses in both threads and not ONCE have I gotten the impression that you even remotely care about the pups you sell.

You should be happy that you found all of this information out before purchasing a pup from her. Now, you can clearly see exactly what I had been experiencing. She is a lady that comes across like she cares in the beginning but at the end her true colors show. I am not a troublemaker nor complainer...this is all evident through her own posts. I believe she was better off just not posting at all...because she did herself more damage in the end.

Continue to warn others and steer clear of this woman and her poor pups!

She has displayed on her own behalf her uncaring attitude towards her dogs. She has been here and posted only things to salvage her "business" and that is all. What loving breeder would do that?

I'm at dog shows this weekend and was told to come and see this thread because my name was mentioned....
All I can say is I've seen Kathy's dogs in the ring and they appear healthy to me and I've seen her win with Kamikazi (sp). I can't comment on anything else but what I've seen and what I know. I don't get on YT much anymore and when I do come on it's mostly in the show thread. I stay away from the breeders and breeder review sections because of things such as this....I try and stay out of drama so that's why I only go on occassion to the show thread only.

My yorkie baylee is from Kathy I went out to her house where the dogs have a kennal area in back she has all there stuff for them it is very clean she does not have alot. She had a book with all her dogs info in it. AKC and she does another I cant remember. The only thing i didnt like is that she didnt tech her the right place to pee. My others knew how pee on pee pad

I just want to remind people that if you do call or email someone from the YTCA list you have to be persistent. I'd email them and announce that I would be calling them later that week to find out more about their breeding program. Most YTCA members are not in the business of puppy selling and they may have a few dogs to place, but they are seeking the best homes. You have to prove you can offer a better than average home. Some don't even do a breeding until they have people on the waiting list, so be prepared to wait if you find a breeder that impresses you. Buying a puppy shouldn't be an impulse thing, take your time and find a breeder who you feel good about supporting.
