Scooter is nuetered and Sadie is sick
 
What a day I have had today. Took Scooter in first thing this morning to be fixed and Sadie has been sick all day. When I went to pick Scooter up I asked the vet if she could see Sadie just for a minute cause I am really worried. She took Sadie back before she got Scooter, gave her a good exam and said she looked fine. She said her heart beat was good, her temp was good, her gums looked good so why is she throwing up again? She told me to watch her overnight and if she still does not want to eat then to bring her back in the morning and she would do some more blood work. Meanwhile my poor baby boy just wants to sleep. When she brought him out to me he was shaking so bad but she said that it was from him being put to sleep. He ate a little bit of scrambled eggs and now he sleeping by Mommys feet. I tried to put him in his bed but he wants no part of it. Hats off to all you breeders out there. I would not wish this on anyone, what I have been going through with Sadie. She will be spayed asap after the pups. I am not a breeder and I do not want to be.

Just wanted to add that my vet seen Sadie for free and that to me was really something. The last vet I had was not quite that nice

Glad that Scooter is back home and I'm sorry that Sadie isn't feeling well. It was very nice that the vet saw her for free. Scooter will probably feel more himself tomorrow. He must be so happy to be home with you!! Hope tomorrow is a better day for all of you. Sending get well prayers and good thoughts!!

Had to give Scooter a pain killer this morning and now he seems better. Poor little guy just does not understand. Funny story. yesterday when it was time to go get DH from work, I called the dogs as usual, they always go with me. Scooter sat by the door and refused to get in the car so I left him at home with my sister. As I was driving I thought now why didnt he want to come he loves to go for rides and then it hit me. The last ride he remembers was to the vet and I left him and they hurt him, he did not want that to happen again. I will try and get him to go today and can not wait to see what happens.

Hope your Scooter is feeling better. But, your thread should be in the sick and injured section.

Scooter is almost himself again and I think he has finally forgiven me for the whole thing lol. Sadie, on the other hand, looks like she is about ready to bust. She has been nesting all day and spending a lot of time in her whelping box but also wants to be right by Mommy so I am thinking it will be soon but her temp is still good.
