Momma about ready to pop! Hey all, Just wanted to let you know that my Georgia will be due any day now, and she is a big girl. This is her and our second litter so we hope that this one turns out as well as the last! Wish us luck and I will get pics up as soon as she delivers!! :) |
Good luck with your girl |
Good luck Jessica and Georgia for a smooth and safe whelp. :) |
Thank you to both! We let both of my monsters out tonight and Georgia has started moving around and finding little areas (including under my chair  ) to possibly have puppies so I'm thinking within the next 24 hours, we'll be birthing pups. :) all exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. |
Good luck to you and your little momma. |
Sure enough 3 hours later at 2 am she has started having pups. Only one so far |
Alright !!! do you know how many she's having |
Is she trying to push? If you posted I have forgot, but did you get an xray to see how many she was having? |
Is everything going OK? |
Everything is going wonderful thus far other than it is the middle of the night lol. She just finished having the 3rd one, working on the next one. We didn't get an xray but we are great friends with one of the vet techs and she looked at Georgia and we all think she was going to be having 5-6. I think it'll be 5. She is doing what she should after she settled down. She's cleaning the babies, and the babies have already started to nurse. All in all, things are going as great as expected. I'm staying as calm and positive as possible :) thanks for the support guys. |
Well, congtratulations mamaw! Keep posting and for sure...we want pictures. |
It sounds like everything is going good...congrats |
OK..... lol. So she has had 6 pups. I hope there isn't another one in there, but she was pretty huge. Currently, it's 4 girls, 2 boys. In her last litter it was 4 boys, 1 girl.:p She is doing so awesome and I'm so proud of her. I'm kind of feeling sick right now though, the smell is starting to bother me a bit. I think it's also because I was up at 4 am yesterday and worked 10 hours and then only got about 3 hours of sleep, so I think that is why I'm kind of "eh..." feeling. lol:rolleyes: I'm so happy though, it has been an awesome whelp thus far. She started a little after 2 am and it's about 5 now... Now I just gotta stay up another hour or so to make sure no more are coming out. then it's husband's turn haha. He's been such a help, since he is way more experienced than I am, especially at helping get the sac out and getting the pups to squeak. Thanks! p.s. pictures soon! |
WOW! 6 babies. I am glad all is going good. Keep up the post and hope you can get some rest today. |
Thank you. Well, it's been a little over an hour, I've been watching t.v. and checking on her every 5-10 minutes and she is showing no sign of another one (thank goodness!). She's just laying with her babies, keeping them warm, clean, and fed, the three important steps. So I will give another 1/2 hour and probably head to bed for a few hours. Our goffins cockatoo wasn't too thrilled that this was going on during his bed time but he settled down about 1 1/2 hours ago. Chewy is in his crate wondering what the heck is going on over there. Husband is sleeping.. very successful night. We're gonna have our friend come over tomorrow (well during the day lol) and help us with the dew claws and a look over to see if the pups are okay. They are all good sizes at least 2 oz. each. I wanted the babies to stay warm and fed before we start messing with it. Georgia is really stepping up to the plate and watching over her babies. I'm so lucky :) Will probably get pics up in the next day or so :D |

yeah I am going to wait another day or two. I was really tired when I wrote all that so I was all over the place. They are all doing awesome though. Mama is taking wonderful care and the pups are all really starting to gain weight and stay warm.. woohoo:D P.S. the babies were at least 4 ounces.... mis type lol! |
Congratulations to you and Georgia on a nice litter and smooth whelp! :D Awesome job..all nighters can really wear you out for a couple of days. |
congrats. |
Congratulations! :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
Thanks!!! We're doing well today, the smallest one is between 4.5 - 5oz. and the biggest one is a little over 6 oz. I've been keeping an eye on the pups and momma is eating and drinking and getting out of the box every once in a while and stretching out. Had our friend come over yesterday afternoon and she checked out the babies and said that they are doing sounding and looking great. Always good to hear. |
4 Attachment(s) Pictures!!!!! |
Congrats.... glad to hear that all went well ! |
Awwwwww...they are cute! How's everything today? |
Thanks we're still doing good. I weighed them a bit ago, and it was ranging from 5.25 oz. to almost 7 oz! It's so crazy. I am still very proud of Georgia, it's hard to feed that many babies. I just gotta make sure Georgia is constantly available to food and water and that the babies are eating. So far so good. Keeping positive for the future.:) |
Puppies Just join the group have little male Dodger. Looking for playmate (female) for my baby. I am in Southern California. Let me know if you are going to sale them. Dodger came from Kentucky so I know it is easy to fly. Congradulations on your new babies. Paula & Dodger |

:hug:Lots of hugs from me!!! I thought that three was work but you and others have blown me out of the water!!!! Keep up the great work and the post......I am here..........Barbara |
Another day down and I must say, things are still looking up. Weighed my babies today and they have gained .5-1 oz. in weight within a day. Overall, they all have gained half their weight in 3 days, so I'm still watching and making sure all 6 babies are getting fed! I guess I'm still in the "what if" nervous stage so I just have to take it day by day. No red flags yet, and I'm looking forward to all healthy babies and momma! thanks everyone!! I appreciate the support. |
