I just was refered to this thread, since I try not a read the breeders forum (too sad), so I have gotten the crying over all at once. What an angel you are. |
Hi Sara, Glad they are doing so great I would think Dad is not a Maltese as they will have more white, I have a friend that has both Maltese and Yorkies and every once in a while she will have an opps and they ALWAYS have a ton of white on them. There is also the possibility of 2 dads for the litter. I would say especially the bown it is the Chi Anyway They are TOO CUTE and she is blessed to have you in her corner. HOPE and PRAY you are her forever home! Sparklingbluyorkies.com |

They are darling and I wish I could see them in person. |
The vet ruled out the Chi as being the dad since she was around him once 2 weeks prior to Thanksgiving and they were never unsupervised. She said they just went over for the day. Bella stayed with the family that owned the Maltese for a week after thanksgiving and the owner never witnessed a tie she said that her boy was going crazy around Bella and when Stephanie's mom came and picked Bella up she had an odor that was not a normal dog smell. From the timing of when she went into labor the vet said that the maltese was the dad. I got word that the owner of the Maltese said she would give us her regristration number so we could register them and recover a little money toward the vet bills. Have not talked to her yet but supposed to this week. Should I have a DNA test done??? At this point I really don't care what they are just as long as they are healthy. But I don't want to tell people they are one thing and then they be something different. So far they all have the long hair and they all do have white on them....small amount of it but they all have it. |
Register them? You can't register a mixed breed.... |

Why would someone pay more for a piece of paper telling them they have a mixed breed puppy? They need to go to loving homes and be wonderful pets. They are NOT and never will be a show dog of any kind. They are a mix breed. Doing DNA tests are expensive. You have spent enough, just find wonderful homes for them. A GREAT home will truly NOT want a peice of paper. These registeries are just getting rich from people wanting a piece of paper for a mixed breed. They are not and never will be a GOOD registry. I have a keenel program that can do all kinds of papers including puppy birth certificates. If you just want something nice and cute to send with them let me know. Sara you have be a God sent to these little guys. Sparklingbluyorkies.com |

Well personally as long as they are healthy then that is all that matters. As for a "show" dog....well theses have been "shown" all over YT. :D That is good enough for me. LOL The only thing that I insist on is that what ever home I find for them then they HAVE to have them spayed or neutered. Hopefully I will be able to find homes for the remaining 2 where I will still have contact with them and know that they will be given the royal treatment. Still have a while before they leave so I have plenty of time to find just the right person. |
I see nothing wrong with Sarah selling a couple of her Morkies. She has shelled out enough money to get these babies into this world. Without it even being her responsibility. I would have done the same, but not everyone would. I paid for my Brandy, with no intention of showing her. I wanted a yorkie and knew I wouldn't find one for free. Even shelters were wanting $500 for a yorkie. I did an internet search and Morkies are selling for anywhere from $300 to $900. I am sure if Sarah posted pictures and just stated that the mother is a yorkies and the father probably is a maltese, she could sell the last 2 puppies to recoup just a little of what she has paid out. |
Always excited to see updated puppy pictures. . . :) |
What a love story. |
