What are the top ten questions to ask?
When the time is right, my husband and I are thinking about getting a silky terrier. I am trying to do my research a little early.

There is a member on YT that is a Silky Terrier Breeder, however, she hasn't been online for awhile.

Your best bet would be to join a Silky Terrier Forum as members there would be more familiar with reputable breeders for the Silky Terrier.

Hi Mardelin, yes, you are right, however, I haven't been able to find a forum that is active. I joined one, and I was the only member except for the person who started it. I was expecting to find something like yorkie talk, but I guess we are rare.
What do you feel are the most important questions to ask?

I suggest that you visit the YT library; there are a couple of articles on what constitutes a reputable breeder. I also would suggest that you PM CarmenNJ as she is the Silky Breeder that is most knowledgable in the breed.

I'd also suggest you contact the National Club.

Mardelin Thank you, I been offline because my doll making business is keeping me very busy, thank God, due to a previous comitment, I missed Chanel's last season this year, well I guess it was not meant to be, you know me and my dogs DONT do it if I am not there to help..:D:D:D , I try to be more active as soon as this sunday's doll show is over..

Kathy I checked the link you posted and everything looked good until I got to the "Facilities" link, to me they look like they have a good size breeding program going, to me that is a bit of a puppy factory feel. but then again everyone does it their own way.

Talked to Kathy last night and she seems to be a wonderful lady, I am sure we together can get her her new baby..
glad to help.. now I have to go back to work on my dolls for the sunday show.
