congenital A adjective 1 congenital, inborn, innate, inherent present at birth but not necessarily hereditary; acquired during fetal development i do not believe that collasped trachs are usually heriditary. a number of things can cause them along with a collar around the neck and a leash pulling. i wouldnt rule out these puppies because of this... the breeder may know exactly what caused it. or he or she may not. i for one do not think this is a hereditary factor is most cases. we see this alot more often in really small yorkies. look up the key words "collasped trachea" on the web and you'll find lots of info. |
