breeding question at what age do you breed your yorkie? my little china will be 10 months old november 2. i just noticed that she is in heat....i have a male yorkie too...should i keep them apart? is she to young? if so...at what age would it be safe to breed her? sorry about all the question....i just want to do the right thing..thanks!! |
keep them apart! 10 months is too early for her. if you are interested in breeding her wait til her second heat. she's still a puppy herself now... ;) |
Keep the SEPERATED! She's too young and not mature enough yet (physically and mentally). Keep one locked up at a time and switch them out for breaks. |
Keep them apart! She is still a baby herself. Wait til at least her second heat cycle to consider breeding her if she is breeding size. She needs to be emotionally mature as well. That might have sounded harsh, but your little one could be harmed if she is too young or too small to breed. Do a lot of research and when the time comes, both you and your Yorkie will be ready.. |

She sounds as if she is going to be a breeding size of 5 1/2 pounds at least..she will add some muscle as she matures.... |
