I too want to thank you for posting your story. Breeding is so much more work, worry, and expense than most could ever imagine. I am very sorry for your loss! |
Thanks for your story and I am so sorry for your loss. |
You guys are just amazing, thank you so much for sharing your own stories and kind words. @ Karen, you got it ;)!! I owe you pictures I know. Did I tell you I got the Vellus Distribution Rights for the Dominican Republic (check out their web page on International Distributors) very excited about this new project. I commend all who dedicate their time to breeding their pets with heart and soul. My little girl opened her eyes yesterday, i couldnt believe how sweet blinking away, by the way i have to give her up to the stud owner because i didnt make it clear and she got pick of the litter!! Talk about being in the hole in expenses. I should have just payed the stud fee. Have a wonderful day everybody (let me get back to work before i get fired and then id really be in trouble):D |

omg I am so sorry for your loss. I understand first hand of a puppy dieing. My girl had 5 puppies May 18th and on day 4 the fattest one died. She smothered him. I was so heart broken so I understand completely how you feel. I couldnt let go of mine, I tried cpr and everything. After that I seriously didnt sleep for 2 weeks. I was right next to them evry night scared momma was gonna do it again. This was my 1st and definstly last experience. Even though mine are 4 1/2 weeks now and so adorable..it was NOT worth it and I will never do it again. It is soooo much harder then I thought. My thoughts and prayers go out to you so you may heal faster and get through this.:) Quote:

Elenita, I followed your post on the puppy that got smothered..so upsetting specially since he was a perfectly healthy puppy!! um suffice to say I will NEVER do this again either lol!!! Hey Maggiesmom, ugh that little girl is going to be so beautiful. I dont even want to get into it with the stud owner because at first i told her there was only 1 girl and that i couldnt keep a boy because i have Belle. In any case she just said "well i told you before hand i wanted a girl" it was my fault for not specifying that if it was only one i would keep. Another upsetting issue is the fact that she knew her stud produced mostly males because she said that the "last time" she breed her dog she got to keep the only girl in a litter of 3 by the way this girl died from eating rat poisining. Lessons to be learned (for others) like i said i dont think i want to breed my girl again and in the very slight chance that i do, i will get my own male and take a couple of courses on breeding our loving yorkies |
