hi i just had a litter of 6 pups from normal coloured yorkies but 3 of them are parti coloured, mum has had 3 litters before and all the pups were either silver/tan or black/tan. does anybody have any idea on what price to put them out at. i live in the uk.

Can I ask why you consider these dogs biewers?

I am sorry to say we have no biewer in the uk,Breeders have mixed other breeds into our uk yorkies to get a parti color dog,I have to say why all of a sudden are we getting more and more dog's in the uk with the white in them surely we would of had puppies born over here year's ago if this is the case,But in the past 2 or 3 year's we seem to be getting a few puppies being born here now with white in them.
As for what price to sell i do not see why these pup's with white in born here in england should carry a silly price tag of hundred's of pound's,
Please be careful how you advertise them here in england as there is already a group of breeder's being looked into by the uk authorities for misleading advert's.
I have parti color dog's here in rescue that the breeder's here have bred.

i wrote biewer because when i looked parti coloured up on the net they called them biewers.
also my dog has had only 4 litters i dont constantly breed my dog like some puppy farms, she is my pet and comes to bed with me. i dont know if ever my dog has any other breed in the past, just never come across this before. sorry i spoke only wanted advice. thanks

There is a biewer terrier club in the uk gethyn maybe they can advise you if you google biewer terrier club uk the link will come up,The lady that own's it is a very nice lady she should be able to help you here in the uk.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, or I am missing something, but Why is there a Biewer Club in the UK if there are no Biewers in the UK?

The only rational explanation is that both parents are carriers for the piebald gene. The typical odds ratio for carrier-to-carrier producing a parti would be 1 in 4. Your girl certainly beat those odds.

This is from info I've seen based on recessive genes expressing themselves in puppies. If I'm wrong, someone will correct this, I'm sure.

I can't answer your question on price. I would suggest you think of the other qualities of the pups as to the standard for the breed, apart from their color, and go from there. You can't put a value on a pup based on one trait alone.

I don't know you would have to ask them they have been very helpful to me as we now have parti color dog's here in the uk thank's to the uk breeder's trying to breed them with other dog's to get the color and look a likey,Maybe they are on there way into the uk who know's.

Gethyn please be careful when the time come's to rehome your babies as there are unscrupulous breeder's here in england that will buy them and use them just to breed from,We have a few here in our rescue now,I am having to be very careful who we rehome these poor dog's to all are spayed/neutered, vaccinated,micro chipped so as they will never be able to be bred from and we also do vigerous home check's and follow up's to make sure these little dog's get the best pet home's possable.The majority of the uk have never heard of this breed here and so it will be the breeder's here that will be after them.

thanks for your help. i had a total shock with this litter, it must be in the parents genes , i will be very carefull of who they go to. with the last litter i had i sent 2 viewers packing 1 seemed to be a breeder and the other wanted to know if a yorkie was a yorkshire terrier and wanted it for her bag omg.
id prefer to keep them all. lol

I agree with this.

Reputable breeders will usually spay and neuter these dog and place them in pet homes. They do not charge MORE for dogs who do not meet the standard, and in my opinion, if you charge more for dogs who don't meet standard, you are only breeding as a business.


Biewers are considered, by some, to be a close "cousin" of the yorkie; Parti's on the other hand, are considered to be a yorkie with a color fault. Some people do use the words interchangeably, but in my opinion, there's a difference, and if both of your dogs can't be traced back to the German registry, they are not Biewers.

Is this your 1st litter of puppies born with the white in them gethyn,also did you use the same stud or a different one.

this is the first time she threw white in the pups, also the stud dog is mine. all the same father. 2 of them have all white chests and 2 white paws.

This is taken from the YTCA website: Yorkshire Terrier Club of America Official Breed Standard

Disqualification: Any solid color or combination of colors other than blue and tan as described above. Any white markings other than a small white spot on the forechest that does not exceed 1 inch at its longest dimension.

Are the parent's kc registered,Is the white only like you say on the paw's and chest as this sound's like a normal yorkie to me and may turn steel grey as the pup's get older.
