Looks like Fifi couldnt last another day being pregnant. She had three of the most beautiful Yorkies ever. All three are doing well and latching on freely. Had a scare, Looked like she retained two placentas. I gave her the tea as suggested and by the time I came back from putting some stuff up she had expelled a placenta and was eating it. I sat with her for another hour and didnt see a second. I called our Vet and told them everything; they said to watch her closely and if I noticed anything to take her to the emergency vet. She seems to be fine not acting strange or sick. A small amount of bloody discharge. Shes eaten a small amount of food. Overall she looks fine and is acting like a normal mamma. I couldnt be prouder!!! :D |
Congratulations, don't forget to give her the 1/2 a cup of the tea every other day for 3 days, to make sure everything is out, and it also helps with milk production.. glad to hear she did well.. hugs, Carmen in nj |
Update Just got back from the vet and everyone had their tails and dew claws removed and a checkup. Everyone is perfect Little Chanel did not have hers done however, we decided she was just too tiny and she is getting stronger everyday and we did not want to disrupt that..sooooooooooo tiny Chanel will have a tail !!! I am a bit excited to see this tiny thing bouncing around with that adorable little tail!!! But all babies are doing well and Chanel is gaining  to everyone for all the kind words!!! |
Tosha had her puppies yesterday 3 boys 1 girl .. mommy and pups are doing great! |

I caught Jenna sleeping this morning and could hear 2 heart beats. I could feel a little movement last night. She does not like me touching her belly now. She goes in the morning for an xray. |

I'm on pins and needles......:p |
Just wondering if any of your new mamas whine and cry? For the first day Fifi would not dare to leave her whelping box. Slowly she now gets up and walks around. She'll go out briefly to potty. Shes not away from her pups very long either but when she does leave she cries. She kind of acts like shes looking for something. You know she runs around the house from room to room whining and crying. She knows where her babies are they are never locked away from her. Or to where she cant get to them. Just wondering if any of the other mamas are doing this. |

2 Attachment(s) Congratulations to all who have already whelped and those who are waiting. Thought I'd add Scarlett's belly pic -- we went for an x-ray yesterday, but the pic wasn't clear. According to Dr. Amy, it looks like Scarlett is around day 50 - which means that she didn't take on the first breeding date - so we have another 10 to 12 days. I just can't imagine how she can go that much longer..... look at the size of her belly  |
