Idiots This woman across the street from me has a 3lb female (1.5 years old). She just got her in June from a man who was selling her because he needed money. He was handicapped and she was his service dog. Anyway, I never met this neighbor/yorkie before and she is sitting there trying to convince me to breed my 7.5lb floppy eared, long-legged BABY BOY to her THREE POUND female!!!!!! I am outraged. What the hell is wrong w/ people? |
Did you tell her the dog was to small to breed? People just dont think gee. poor little dog. |
I thought it was best to have the stud smaller than the bitch?? It goes to show that not everybody should be in the breeding business when you come across people as you have. Did you tell her about Yorkie Talk? She could learn so much. :D |
Sheesh! Is she trying to kill that poor little girl! Did you tell her that it isn't wise to breed her with a bigger male? ANd, at 3lbs, I wouldn't breed her at all. Just not worth the risk of loosing a precious one. |
Does she have a computer? Maybe you can introduce her to YT so she can educate herself a little bit about what it really takes to be a breeder. Obviously she doesn't even know the basics. I hope she didn't take that puppy just for a "money making" opportunity. |
Truthfully, some people really don't know any better. It's sad, but maybe if you can explain how it should be done she'll be a little more informed and responsible and will think twice about breeding her female... |
How sad. I hope she doesn't find anyone willing to breed with her as her baby is way to small and could suffer alot when whelping. Poor dog from bad hands to worse. :thumbdown |
I honestly was appalled with a lot of the other things she was doing with her dog and saying about her dog, so I left. I did not tell her about YorkieTalk. |
hm. some things are better left unsaid. i'm glad you didn't tell her...but it stinks for her pup |
I feel horrible for this poor pup. First she was someone's beloved service dog and had to be given up so she is not only lost and possibly confused by the situation but now she is with someone who will most likely end up killing her because of their own greed!!! How terribly sad!!! Where are you? Do you think she would be interested in selling the little girl?? |
The sad side of this story is that that she will probably will find someone stupid enough to breed with her female. :( Thank you stewie's mom for turning her down... :) |
That's why I suggested to refer her to this site.. maybe if more than one person told her it was a bad idea she would change her mind. |
I would have explained that it is not a good idea to let a dog that small breed. And tell her why. Some poeple just don't know. I was so clueless when it came to that kind of stuff. I never thought of the breeding side of these little guys till after I got Gus. I thought that since Gus was a tiny guy, he needed a tiny female to reach. LOL It wasnt till after I had him fixed that people would ask me if I thought of using him as a stud. I still get that alot. Boy did I sure feel stupid!!! Oh well, you learn something new every day. I am happy with my decision on having him fixed. I feel I did the best thing to prolong a happy and healthy life. I just wish I knew a bit more about the topic before doing it. Too bad I didn't find this site till a year after having Gus. |
