Very agressive female during attempt to tie
 
Help! I have tried to breed my girl 4 or 5 times and she will not have it. She tucks her tail under and she has even gotten agressive with the smaller males. Someone suggested to muzzle her, but I'm at a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions for a sucessful tie?

I know nothing at all about breeding but if your girl does not want to
breed at this point no way would I muzzle her. That sounds barbaric!
IMO would only stress her out even more.
Sounds like she's just not ready.

Have you taken her to your vet to be sure everything is ok? has she been breed before? maybe she's just not ready? If this is her first time she may just be scared. Will the male let you hold her? Try some Ky jelly. good luck let us know how it goes.

I would never muzzle a girl, if she is not receptive she is NOT ready, please don't force her. have she flag at all? how long she's been in heat?

I know, the thought of muzzling her makes me wanna cry. She will be 4 years old in a few days and she has not once flagged or ever had a sucessful tie.

Why would you want to force her then? I would guess not all females
were made to produce puppies. I think she's telling you this.
Have her spayed and let her enjoy her life in peace.
Why the need to have puppies?

If it was me, I would not persue trying to mate this girl, obviously she is not ready.

If she has never been bred, she is beyond the age of any girl to be bred the first time.

If she has, I don't know if you have another set of hands to help you. One to hold the male the other to hold and calm the female. You may try using a soft silk scarf gently wrapped around her muzzle......She obviously is frightened.....and she needs to be calmed.

I would not, this bitch is NOT flagging or anything I don't understand why would anyonte try to force her to be bred? I know that some girls are afraid, my Chanel was a maiden bitch when I bred her but she was flagging my stud non stop, she did not know exactly how to stand but once I held her her tail moved to the side and my male was able to mount her with minimal efford. why would you force a tie if she seems not to be ready?

EEK.....I dont think I could force my unwilling female to mate. That seems like rape. Why not artificial insemination??

Maybe she is just frightened. That makes sense, since she is still technically a virgin. This would be her first time, regardless of age. Maybe if I love on her and try to calm her, she will relax. Any other suggestions?

I strongly suggest that she not be bred. You don't breed a bitch for the first time after the age of 3. You're asking for trouble; her physical well being is at stake.

As Mardelin told you, four years old is too old to have her first litter. I suggest you stop trying to breed her.
