Breed Heat, Bitch Pills, Whelp Help Which one do you prefer? It says to start them on it 2-4 weeks prior to their heat cycle. How do I know 4 weeks before their cycle? Does it help to regulate their cycles? I have one girl that it has been 9 months since the start or her last heat. The other two girls that all 3 were in heat the same time last time, have already had their heat again and this one is not showing any signs. |
Not sure about the pills your talking about ? I just think some cycle different. Some cycle together while other might be 6 month'ers and other maybe 9 month'ers or yearly. I have a friend who has a female that only comes in every year and her daughters follow suit. Do you know how often your female's mother came in heat ? |

I used oxymate with Tara and really liked it. I am using Bitch pills this time with Jenna so I am waiting to see if there is any different. I suggest getting the powder because the pills are huge but easy to crush. |
Well I'm not one to give pills, I'd say let nature take its course. There may be a reason behind her irregularity. I have a female that comes in once every 8 months. |

I had one that had an irregular cycle and didn't use her for breeding. I placed her as a pet. |

The oxymate says it helps them bounce back faster. This was Tara's first litter but I was amazed how well she did. She looked as good 2 weeks after whelping as she did before. You couldn't tell she even had pups. Her hair even grew during nursing..alot.. I am using the bitch pills not for irregular cycle. I am using them on Jenna because her last litter I lost. They looked early and only weighed 2 oz. One was born stillborn. I thought it couldn't hurt to give her a boost of vitamins she may be lacking. She is not a good eater at all and when she got pregnant she stopped eating. Women take vitamins during pregency to get what they need. I think some bitches may need a extra boost too for healthier pups and mom. |
I used whelp help with Chanel, since it was her first litter I wanted to make sure I gave her everything she needed I asked my holistic Vet about whelp help, she read the ingredients and told me to start it 7 days before whelping date, and continue it for 7 days after whelping. Miss Chanel had a text book whelping so I am leaning to using it again when I get another pregnant girl. hugs, Carmen in nj |

here's what I have in my notes... I found this at revival animal and send it to my holistic vet, she read the ingredients and told me to use it her way.she beleives that the red rabsberry leaf content on the whelp help, could contribute to an early delivery,so that is why she suggested not to give it to her until 2 weeks before delivery.
