Thanks guys for all your great responses. I do love fat healthy babies too I just don't want them so fat they can't roll over so they lay their rolling back and forth playing with their front paws with big wrinkled mouths that refuse to give up the nipple LOL! Some of them hold on so tight they come right out the box with mom. Yelling their fool heads off when they realize they are out the birthing box. I feed their Mom's the sweet potatos, chicken, green beans and than they all get liverwurst with their vitamins and of course their dry food. I have customers that want to come look at them the first day they are born and will come back to visit or I send pictures via the Internet. Right now I have 4 week old and 2 week old fat ticks. HaHaHa! that I am totally enjoying being snowed in with. |

You guys are too funny and have some interesting and great advice. I did not no liverwurst had onion in it. WOW! You are so right that stopped today.Thank you! I only give them a little bit to put their vitamin in so now I will come up with another idea. My vet is really big on giving the dogs a healthy home cooked meal with a 1/3 veg 1/3 starch 1/3 meat. I have no problems with eclampsia and my fatality rate went way down. My Mom's are really full of milk and will nurse any puppies that come their way. LOL! |

Sorry guys I keep trying to attach pictures but they do not want to upload right. I start weaning my babies at about 4 weeks with rice baby ceral goats milk and a little ground puppy food. I also give them cottage cheese and a little kero syrup. |
