Yorkie in Labor - please advise ASAP!!! Hi all, my yorkie is in labor and there is a huge bubble sticking out of her. Earlier there was some discharge of blood. Labor started an hour ago. Can any one advise me? Should I wait it out? Or should I take her in to the Emergency Clinic? Thanks. |
Unfortunately I have no advice but wishing you good luck on your new litter! |
Thank you Dianne. :) |
How is she doing? I am not a expert but that might be her sack or even a pup |
IF you are unsure what is going on then I think you should bring her to the vet. |
Yorkie in labor I'm no expert either but I'd call the emergency vet ASAP and ask about it. It could be an amniotic sac that needs to be broken but I'd ask the vet first. Good luck and we're hoping for the best. Keep us informed. |

Has she had them yet? How long has she been pushing? I hope you are in close contact with your vet. |

Right now she is panting and going into the second stage of labor. |
I pray your girl has a safe whelping. Can you tell us what was the mommas weight prepregnancy and do you know how many pups she is carrying? Is this her first litter? It sounds like the first bubble was just her water sac. It has been over 5 hours since the water sac appeared so I would be getting very concerned. If she does not start making progress soon you should get her to the vets. |

My vet told me that green fluid was a sign of the placenta tearing away from the uterine wall. I think you should take her in. Good luck! |
Thank you to everyone who freely gave advice. My yorkie is at the Vet's having a C-section and I'll have her spade. Thank you all! |
