What countries have you purchased Yorkies from? I know there are quarantine laws, but what countries have you purchased Yorkies from? My breeder (and hopefully one day she will be my mentor) is originally from Europe, and I know that she sometimes exchanges dogs with breeders in Czech. Where have you gotten Yorkies from? I love looking at breeders’, from around the worlds, websites! |
I got my Biewer last month from Canada. Nicest lady EVER. I was a nervous wreck about the puppy flying so far but she did great. Really great. I live in Texas. The puppy arrived at 15 weeks and 2lbs. I sure do love her. |
Does anyone have a yorkie from Germany? I am looking at breeders from Germany. They do not dock the tails or removed the dew claws. Does anyone have a yorkie from germany? Would love to hear about your yorkie and experience with a european breeder. |
I have gotten biewers from Germany, Canada and Hungary |

Buddy came from Hungary. However, I purchased him from a pet store:( I have the paper's when he arrived in the states and his shot's that were necessary. I think he was held over for about 7-10 days according to the dates on his papers. |
I bought a bitch puppy from a breeder in Finland that was a total ripoff. The breeder did not stand behind her either,ie no refund.Be very careful. |

I have imported once from south america without any problems, i did know the breeder before hand and all went smooth, the customs clearance is time spending but it is no big deal. The "broker" is optional for someone who can go there and clear customs themselves. "Maggicgeanie" posted a thread about it not too long ago and i think she imported one already and all went smooth. If you look on the new england you will find the thread i am talking about. XOXO |
If anyone knows anything about Europeon yorkies can you PM me. |
I imported from Hungary--- Ch Mortimer the Knight of Blue Cross arrived in Boston from Budapest in wonderful condition after a very long journey on Lufthanza with a layover in Franfurt. Initially I was told by the exporter that I needed a customs agent in Boston, but I couldn't find one. I had read scary things on the internet about red tape and fees at customs, all turned out untrue. Hursula at Smartpuppiepets briefed me on her experience and that's what I went by. The only snag is a Boston problem---customs office is in a really inconvenient location. The exporter had emailed me copies of all my papers and customs went ahead and stamped those with no questions asked. Things got a little funny at the airport because there was a $35 fee there, I don't know what for, and I only had 2 twenties and they couldn't make change. Ho-hum, somebody at Lufthanza got to pocket $5 I guess. |
