Heart beats When I ordered my whelping supplies, I also ordered a stethoscope. When I tried to listen for the babies, I just heard overwhelming amounts of noises. Can anybody who does this give me some hints of where I should listen? And would it sound like Bellas heartbeat, but much faster? BTW, she's approx 54 days Thanks, Shawnie |
I started listening to heart beats at the begining of week 9, to me they sound like a tic, tic, tic... the great Debbie Jensen discribes it as sounding like morse code...LOL hugs, Carmen in nj |
It might be too early for you to hear anything yet. Trust me, during the last week you can hear them like crazy. |
I heard my last litter around day 53. Make sure you listen closer to the ribs. That is where I found mine. |
Ok, thank you all very much! |
Could anyone tell me how to tell how many heartbeats,I mean if I hear a loud one like tic tic tic ,then lower in her belly or different spot hear a heartbeat but not as loud, could it be the same one just not right on top of it???ANY help would be appreciated!!!!THANKS!! |
This is a good question. I think it just takes lots of practice. But I am guessing you should hear each one clearly. And they are racing very fast, like little train. |
