Chilled/Frozen sperm....
 
I'm just wondering who on here has used chilled or frozen sperm and what you're experience has been? What has your experience with the cost and did you have success? What exactly does it entail?

I'm not sure about frozen sperm, but we did have Mimi impregnated via AI. I would think there's a time limit, but it's the same thing. She had 5 pups. I think the vet can administer it, it's really quite easy.

I have never used frozen but I have heard of other people doing it. Not sure what the success rate is but it is interesting. Here is a interesting article on it:

Did you do AI for convenience or was your stud out of the area?

Thanks for the article! It's very interesting. I imagine after all the vet fees, it's not a cheap prospect but it is interesting.....

The breeder shows & breeds bull dogs, so she does AI on all her studing (?). It was mine & Mimi's first time:p & she said it was alot easier on the female. They also send out frozen sperm.

Did you see the yorkie? That is Ch. Groveshire's Allure, the number one yorkie in America I think. They look so cute in wraps.

I did see him! I'm going to have to go see if I can see him in pictures without the wraps - yes they are cute but would like to see him all groomed!
