Question About Color Change in Parti/ Biewer? Hi, I was just wondering about color markings in the parti / Biewers... Traditional Yorkies coat evolves over its maturation... Do the partis or Biewers have any "clearing" or pattern changing, saddle area shrinking etc. as they mature? Or is how they look as newborns how they stay? Thanks! |
I do not know about Biewers, but in partis, the black on the heads and undersides turn to gold/tan as they mature. On the body the shape of the spot change as the hair grows longer. And if it is as golden parti, the black on the body will turn to gold overtime. |
Also, depending on if they have the grey gene, the black on their back will turn blue just as a traditional yorkie would and they'd be blue, tan and white. If they don't have the grey gene, they will be black, tan and white. |
They are very similar to Yorkies in how the coloring changes as they mature. The black on the saddle may stay black or turn blue. :) |
