she is lying in her box and if i try to pet her she graws. i took her out a few minutes ago and she kept stopping and licking. The thing is that she always lays around and sleeps but she never graws at me maybe the kids but not me i don't think she is having contractions. the vet don't close till 4pm today so i'm trying to give her some time b/c i think that would really frek her out |
I have had two girls not go into having contractions, since there was something wrong. Not saying that there is with your girl, but like Mary stated you need to let your vet know and maybe have her checked out. Just better to be safe. The first girl of mine that did not have contractions had a pup come out of its bag in utero. She ended up with a c-section and had two beautiful other babies that made it. We had to put her on antibiotic to make sure she did not have an infection, and she did run a little fever afterwards, but did so much better a few days later. My other girl I have that did not go into having contractions had a pup into both horns and was stuck. No way was this pup going to make it out on its own. So we had to do a c-section. There are usually good reason why they do not have contractions and all the time in the world is not going to help. |

Being concerned about your girl being stressed over going to the vet????????Think of the alternative. Wouldn't you rather know, rather than risk her life. |

Oh yay! I'm glad to hear that things are starting to progress and hope the whelp continues on with no problems. From all you described in your previous posts (low temps, licking, walking/stopping).....it all sounded like early labor to me. Exactly what my Halle did when she started. When she started with the harder contracts or pushing, she would stretch her neck & look like she was howling, but no sound. The only sound she made was one yelp when the pups head came out. Wishing you good luck for a safe whelp! I'll be watching. |
I'm glad to see that it's going well so far. Please keep us informed. |
ok guys we have two watersacs that have come out is that ok no puppy yet |

Yeah I don't know. I'd be concerned now if I were you. I agree with Mary that a vet visit is your best option now. |
