GOOD LUCK !! That's the great thing about big sites like this - there is usually someone out there who can help... or has had knowledge of.... some of these questionable breeders - I really believe it's better to be safe than sorry and going with someone with a good track record and good references is much safer in the long run....it's too easy to get hurt or scammed these days. I wish you the very best luck finding your yorkie. :) |
Alrighty...I found another breeder in Amish Country...Cornerstone Farms. I found a listing on Better Business Bureau for them but the file was resolved. http://www.cornerstonefarms.net/ I sent them an e-mail asking for more information but havent recieved an answer yet. Does anyone know anything about this place? Is the BBB listing something that should scare me away, even though it is resolved? Thanks to anyone who can give me info on this place! |

Yeah, the multiple breeds kind of turned me off. Is purposely mixing two diff. breeds of dogs a bad thing? I was going to try getting a Morkie or Yorkiepoo if I couldn't find a purebred Yorkie... |
Here is where I initially found Cornerstone Farms: http://www.breeders.net/breeder/134634 They give a 2 yr health guarantee and let you pick up the dogs...which all seem like good signs but I am too new at this to know for sure. Like Stewie's Mom brought up, I still don't know how to feel about the multiple breed thing...Ah, this is so stressful. |

All those breeds on one site is a HUGE RED FLAG...I looked at the website, and while the pictures were gone - there was far too many breeds for one place - it sounds like a small scale puppy mill - you stand a big chance of getting a very unhealthy puppy from there. |
Stay away from Next day Pets .. I have been in the same boat, & guess what I didn't get a New yorkie yet !! For every good breeder on nextday pet & puppy find for that matter there are 4-5 bad breeder, Once you start asking questions that need to be answered they will either reply with something like what you got as a reply or not get one at all ! I know there are good breeds on those sites but there are a lot of bad ones and I personally would not want to take that risk .. There are many great breeder on YT that you can trust ! Goodluck |
I find people here in Missouri are all wanting smaller puppies as in males to use for breeding. I'm not comming down on my price and not worried about selling them if they can't get a good home. My babies are beautiful but everyone says they want a 3lb male full grown. Puey on that!. One lady wanted a sm male to breed with a 3.5 female. You don't do that! My babies go to someone who will spoil them rotten or i will keep them or rather give them away to somebody that is disadvantaged but loves and takes care of their animals. My babies where 8 weeks before i advertised them and now they are going on thirteen weeks.Kitchen raised and still being kitchen raised and crate trained.I work hard with my babies and don't sell to cheap nor too high and i expect a good loving home for them. |
