HELP, trying to breed the Yorkies First off let me start by saying Im not in this alone. My mother is used to breeding dogs. I am not. I have two 3 year old yorkies. The vet gave us a green light w/their health. She is in full heat, the male is marking, not eating, following her, humping her etc. She is trying to give it to him, however. He is too far away ;(. She is a few inches taller than him, maybe 1 1/2 inc. I need some advice on what to do. I know she only has a few days left, then she won't want to be bothered. He seems to be like 3 inches away from the target. Yes I have the money for emergencies and such. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks everyone! |

If he is measurably shorter than the female, you might try putting a folded towel underneath him. I have also read about having them on a couch (covered in blanket or towel) with the cushion removed from where the female is standing. Good luck to you; hope you get your successful tie soon. |

you have several replies on your other thread concerning this. Might want to check back. |

I've tried telephone books, as one person said on the one thread, but the problem is, once I'm around he doesn't want to do anything with her. Uggghhh. But thanks for the advice. |
