Anyone ever deal with Toy Box Yorkies? I emailed her about puppies a while ago & she seemed almost, well rude & bothered to be answering me. I also asked her if she did any genetic health testing & if so, what test...no answer. She is in PA. Her dogs are beautiful & I want a puppy(not a rescue) from a reputable breeder who does health tests, shows, etc. She seemed like all that on her website: Yorkshire Terrier Dogs - Toybox Yorkies,Quality Puppies,Championship Lines,Home Raised With Love I just don't know whether to pursue it with her or not. I want a breeder that I feel I'm comfortable with & whom I'm not "bothering!" Anyone ever deal with her? |
AZ has some top Yorkie breeders and you should not have to go out of state to find a quality puppy. My suggestion would be to go to the AKC dog show that is held in Tucson and/or Phoenix where you can meet some of the breeders or a IABCA show held also. I know a Yorkie breeder from Tucson just joined YT but I can't remember her screen name. There are also a couple in Phoenix. Here is the link to the YTCA breeder section: Yorkshire Terrier Club of America |

Remember if you don't feel comfortable with your breeder, walk away....You're not only buying a puppy, you're buying a relationship. There is Doug Woods, in AZ Helen Scott in AZ Go to YTCA.or to the breeder referral page. |
Yes, I wouldn't want to have to ship the pup, I believe it is wrong...thanks for the breeder referrals, I will check some of the AZ breeders out. Mardelin, you're right when you say that you're buying a relationship w/ the breeder, I would like to be able to have a relationship with them! |
Toybox Yorkshire Terriers I just purchased a female Yorkie from Pauline at Toybox Yorkshire Terriers in Hawley, PA. I had a chance to meet her and see all of her yorkies and how she raises them. She is an excellent breeder. Very knowledgeable and certainly concerned about the health and welfare of her pets. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a healthy beautiful new Yorkie. |
