Pat is right...the standard, per AKC/YTCA is 'not to exceed 7 lbs'. There is no 4 lb minimum. :)

I don't see anything about this breeder to indicate she's doing anything bad. Someone on here in a snit over a coke can in the photo--the prop allows the viewer correct perspective on size. Nowhere on her site did I see her promote "teacup" and I didn't see where she's describing various sizes though I don't find it offensive to do so. Again, it's just to help the viewer with perspective. Her own dogs are within the correct range. The only comment on here from someone with experience with this breeder was a very complimentary one.

I agree with you Pat about the coke cans used for measuring a yorkie's size. Maybe if the puppymill websites didn't use them, it might be different, but the connection to the worst breeders is so prevalent, I don't see how any one that is reputable would want to use a picture like that anymore.

just a little side not on the coke can thing

when selling a puppy a lot of people cant get the idea of the size in the head with out something to compare it too...i have been requested to use something to show them the size...

i totally agree with NOT posting pedigree info..there are so many scammers out there..some people arent comfortable even submitting pix to people anymore..

i dont believe its fair to judge by what you see because there may be reasons why things arent listed ..its different if they are holding flag saying i have 450+ plus dogs..then by all means judge =)

So the only thing that defines if they are a good breeder or a bad breeder to you is if they have 450 dogs or not. I dont see anything wrong with anyones evaluation ogf this breeder, The op asks for opinions shes getting it

thats what people mean by judging..you jump to the conclusion that the only thing i think makes a bad breeder is if they have 450+ dogs...which is untrue

No I wasnt judging you at all it was more of a question because the comment surprised me. I dont see any judging on this thread just opinions. Its really gonna be terrible on here if people cant give an honest opinion on here about a breeder when the Op is asking for and that to be considered judging

This thread was started almost a year ago. That was when I made the observation that she classified them in different sizes as I listed. (At the time, it was on her site...things do change in a year's time.) Some over and some under the standard. Originally, a year ago, I brought it up as something that should be questioned further if someone were considering this breeder.

A Yorkie is not to exceed 7 pounds..I showed a 3 pound male and he did well..

LMAO nawww, not even close;)...if that were true I wouldn't have had to kick my son out last night for telling me to f-off (last straw)....oh and I would be skinny too..LOL

It is bugging me though where I read the weight of 4-7 pounds. I swear it was AKC, did it used to say that do you know? Must have just been something I read somewhere and thought it was the akc site... shrug..
