Question about AKC registration form
 
I recently got a new addition to our family. He is a champion sired male puppy. The breeder included a copy of the pedigree. Now, it shows CH. (name) on the pedigree, but not on the registration application. Is it suppose to show CH. with the sire's name or not? Thanks in advance.

I have one champion sired male and his AKC papers do have the Ch. in front of his name. I also have two champion sired females but their papers do not indicate the Ch. on the sires name because they were born before their dad became a champion. It could be that the sire of your pups is a new champion. Is the pedigree you have from AKC? You can always call AKC and they can verify if the sire of your pups is a champion or not.

The pedigree will show the CH if it is champion sired and I'm sure she got the pedigree after the sire became a champion but the registration papers was probably issued before he became a champion...but you can ALWAYS go to the AKC website and check out the parents, grandparents ect to see which ones are chamions.
Make sure the pedigree is a certified copy from AKC if that is the registry the yorkie is coming from and not something the breeder made up themselves :)

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. I thought something didn't seem right. It shows he was Canadian Champion. Would that make a difference?

Acutally the pedigree is not from AKC. That's why I had to question the AKC application. Thanks, I will check with AKC.

Canadian Champion will NOT show up on an AKC certified pedigree or registration papers.
However, my Radar is from Canada and on his papers it shows CH in front of his name because he is an American champion but also a Canadian champion but doesn't show the Canadian champion on his pedigree....below his name it shows he is from Canada. Only AKC champions are showed on a certified pedigree. I hope this helps.

Makes sense. Thanks! His bloodlines are full of international champions... Also some shows Am. Ch., so that should be American Champion right?
