My husband and I did look into Stateline Kennels before we got Chloe. I can't remember why we ended up going somewhere else...seems like it was either price or availability. Regardless, Linda seemed nice enough on the phone, but we didn't make the drive to visit her. -C |
I have not purchased from her but I did visit her kennels when I was back there visiting family. I talked with her for about 1 hour and she was very well informed about the yorkie breed. Her kennels looked very clean, she brought out a few of her puppies and they looked happy, healthy and very clean. She does have a lot of yorkies but they all look very well taken care of. I believe she dedicates every minute of the day to these dogs. I would of purchased a puppy from her but she didn't have any girls available at that time and we had to drive 1800 miles to get back home. Good luck in your search! |

Oklahoma Yorkie Club Hmm I found out that there is Yorkshire Terrier club of Oklahoma. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America Affiliate Clubs If you contact one of the officer, they might be able to help you. Also I don't know how far you are from Texas, but there are many yorkie breeders in Texas and I know some of them are very active in this forum. I was looking for a yorkie puppy too and found my breeder from YTCA breeder list. I hope this helps. |
From the YTCA Page you can go to the Regional Club for Yorkshire Terrier Club of Greater Oklahoma.....Contact Ken Lambert the President. He can direct you to a reputable breeder. Ken kennel is De Ja Vu and is a handler in his own right. The handler he works with is Trish Kulessa - Trishire's Yorkshire Terriers. Mary Merky on the YTCA.org page is a very reputable breeder. I do know her on a personal basis and her husband is a vet. She also bred the # 2 Yorkshire Terrier in 2007, Marysark's Smooth As Silk, multiple Best In Specialty Winner and has had a few other dogs that have gone to the top 10. |
It s up to you but according to their website Stateline has 4 breeds, poms, pugs, yorkies and maltese. According to their info May and June produced at least two litters for each breed except the Maltese who had just one litter. IMHO it is hard enough being in one breed much less all these ones. And that's a lot of puppies. |

YTC of Oklahoma Thanks Mardelin & r054 for the info re the Oklahoma chapter. I looked at their site, and it lists many breeders (in the champion lists), and there is also a person for breed referrals (maybe it means breeder referrals). This is encouraging! |
