Oh and Roxie is 7 WEEKS today! Time for another belly pic I think. I'll be right back with one. Well, probably in an hour. She hates being on her back, so it will take forever to get a decent pic. Lol! |

I can't wait to see belly pics of your Roxie! |
I am so excited to see Toby and Halle's little ones! |
Aww the poor little mama! She's due 8 days before Roxie is. I wonder if I'll be able to see Rox's puppies move next week, how exciting! Belly pic uploading now.. Quote:

3 Attachment(s) Ok lets see if this works for me this time.. the first pic is 6 weeks, second pic is now, at 7 weeks, and then one of her laying down. Look at all that hair! I love her coat. |
She is gorgeous! Her coat is beautiful. I had to shave Roxy because she managed to get all tangled up with some gum (no idea how this happened).. This was before I found out she was pregnant. Instead of letting it grow out, I was advised that keeping it short until after the puppies are born would make it easier on us both. I can't wait to let her coat grow out again. |
Thank you! I'm debating whether to cut her hair or not, before she whelps. I really don't want to, but I also don't want her coat to be a hot mess after the pups get here. At the very least, I'm definitely going to shave her belly. |
Go ahead and cut it, I left Blossom's long and end up cutting it anyway, it was just to much and the puppy was breaking her hair off like crazy, the wraps didn't work as well as I thought. :) let see some belly pics of Hallie:D |
2 Attachment(s) Due any day now. Congrats to those who have had there pups!! |

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I'll definitely cut her hair shorter, I didn't even think of the possibility that a puppy could get caught in it. I'll be sad to see her hair go. It's in better condition than my own! Luckily it grows pretty quickly. I've been on a sewing kick lately. I made Roxie a dog bed from scratch, with no pattern! It looks so cute. Obviously she won't be using it with her pups but now I think I'm going to whip a few flannel blankets to line her big whelping kennel. I just realized that Roxie could whelp in as little as 8-9 days.. I think I'm going into panic mode. I feel like I'm the pregnant one, with all the nesting I'm doing. LOL. Laura- can't wait to be on puppy watch for ya! |

1 Attachment(s) That would unnerve me a little! I hope she doesn't go into early labor. The weekend would be a great time to have the puppies. (Are you listening, Roxy? lol) I'm nervous about the temp-taking because Roxie's little bum is raw. She's been having issues with pooping lately and that area is really sensitive. I guess I'll have to buy a huge bottle of lube! Here's a pic of the receiving blanket I made last night, hehe.. I know it's fancier than she needs, but I had insomnia, so I decided to have fun with it. |

oh your blankie is adorable and I know you can't wait to have those babies on it and take some pictures to post on here. Good Luck to all of you with your August whelpings!! I just had my very first litter two weeks ago and I am still in awe. What a blessing it is to be able to have this experience.:animal-pa |
