Just wanted to get some different perspectives on your practices...

-Advertise(ed) on Craigslist?.......no(its against the rules to sell)
-Advertise(ed) in your local newspaper?.......yes(same as kijiji answer)

-Breed(bred) a bitch/dog under two years old?.......yes(has to be at least second heat)
-Not do any health tests on both the sire/dam?......yes(i do all health testing as well as every 6 months check ups)

-Charge(ed) more for females than for males?......yes(I do because everyone wants a girl,its a slight encouragement to get them to consider a male)
-Sent pups to new homes who were less than 16 weeks?......yes(with experienced owners)

-Ship(shipped) a puppy? Yes twice, but rode in cabin with a person I know and after many emails and phone conversations with the new owner. She was suppose to fly down and then her plans changed. I prefer prospected parents come to my home.
-Breed(bred) a bitch under 6 pounds? yes, but not under 5#
-Advertise(ed) on Kijiji.com? no and never will!
-Advertise(ed) on Craigslist? no and never will!
-Advertise(ed) in your local newspaper? no
-Advertise(ed) on PuppyFind? Since no one knew me much and was just returning I have in past - only twice
-Breed(bred) a bitch/dog under two years old? yes, but 2nd heat and close to being two.
-Not do any health tests on both the sire/dam? I do test parents and pups!
-Backyard breed(bred)? No
-Sell to anyone? No
-Charge(ed) more for females than for males? No
-Sent pups to new homes who were less than 16 weeks? Yes, but were 12 weeks or older.
-Bred a dog that has never been shown? No
-Sold pups who weren't of breeding quality on full registration? No

-Sold overseas? many years ago sold one to a show breeder I knew and was very well know and respected.

Ethical breeders will answer honestly, unethcial breeders will lie..a survey means nothing..know who you deal with inside and out.

You are so right Pat, people can put down anything. I normally do not fill out surveys, but was bored this morning. LOL I think too that as people deal with people they will learn if they are reptable or not. One needs to ask these questions and more questions need to be asked to the breeder. Check them out, ask about them to others. DO your reasearch!! Talk to the breeder a lot!! By discussion and research you will get a better fill of the breeder and they too will get to know you better. It is a big responsibility also when placing a pup and reputable breeders will not take this likely. They will also want to get to know the prospect parents/buyer to make sure they are placing their pup in the best possible home. It is a two way street.
So many things have changed over the years too. I have flown a pup to someone in cargo - this was years ago - but after a lot of emails and conversations by phone. Would I do this now - No. Things are so much different now and I am scared sending a yorkie on a plane alone. Also I prefer meeting the people.

-Not do any health tests on both the sire/dam? nope I will always do testing on them
-Backyard breed(bred)? nope
-Sell to anyone? Nope i carefully screen the home way before the pups are even conceived.
-Charge(ed) more for females than for males? nope the only differences in price is if they are Show quality and are sold to show homes.
-Sent pups to new homes who were less than 16 weeks? yes at 12 weeks.
-Bred a dog that has never been shown? Yes
-Sold pups who weren't of breeding quality on full registration? nope

IMO I think the question: -Not do any health tests on both the sire/dam? is very confusing. ~Joanne~

Yeah, I don't know either what they mean. My dogs go to the vet for check-ups & stuff. It is confusing!

Health test that should be performed on sire and dam are:

Eyes tested,
Ears tested
Bile Acid test
Knees and Hips X-rayed
STD test performed
Brucellosis
Heart and Kidney
Temperament Tests.
