so sorry for the loss i hope your little boy is doing fine, i an tears hear how sad, my heart goes out to you. xxx |
The little boy is still thriving :), he moves all over the place, he weighed 3.1 ounces at birth (6/2) and is now 3.3 ounces today. I have a question, my vet gave me some milk for him and he seems to be doing well on it, but was wondering if anyone else knew any good substitute milk for newborns. Maybe one I can make?? I'll try to do a search and maybe start a new thread. Thanks again everyone, you all have been so kind. |
There are several different formulas out there but I am not really sure it would be wise to switch right now if he is doing well on the vets formula. I have never had to totally hand raise a newborn so I think you would do best getting advise from those that have successfully done it using a homemade formula. I am glad to hear the little boy is doing well. Are you bottle feeding or tube feeding? |

I've read somewhere goats milk and half water is best, but like you said if he is doing we'll on the vets milk I should stick to that. I just want the best for him, thats all. Thanks for replying. |
Yes goats milk is one of the best, but imo, I'd stay with the formula a bit longer, Sometimes even human babies are put on goat's milk. Keep updating us. |
Oh no. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep the little boy pup in my prayer's. I truly hope he will be ok. I know your crushed and again I am so very sorry. |
I am so glad your lil boy is still thriving. So very sorry 'bout the mama. Hope he keeps gaining weight. My prayers are with you and your family:hands: |
Im so so sorry.. I hope the little boy does well |
I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope your baby boy makes it! |
I am glad to hear that the little boy is doing okay; gaining weight even just ounces is a good thing. I pray that he continues to thrive & to grow up bringing you years of happiness. |
I am glad he is doing well and so sorry for the loss of your little girl. Please do not put that baby on goats milk. There are people on here that would argue with me but I switched a few days old baby to it based on advice given on here and my baby died. The vet said, no doubt it was the goats milk. I will never use it again and will do all I can to advise others not too. There are some people here that have had good results with it but my advice is if he is doing as well as you say, then leave him on what the vet has you giving him. |

Sorry for what happend to you . Great news he is gaining , I would not switch him for nothing if he is doing well These little ones can be touchy and if he seems to be doing well I would leave him be, nutri drops would be good for him |
Thank you everyone for your advise, I will leave him on the milk the vet gave me, he seems to be doing very well on it.. Thanks again! p.s. he's still thriving.. but I miss mama so much :( |

I think about mama everyday and that pushes me harder to get up every few hours to feed the little guy.. He eats like a little beast and loves to cuddle inside his blankets just like his mama used to.. |

Goats milk has really helped a lot of us here who used it. Maybe it wasn't the goats milk. Swelling can also be a sign of kidneys. Toxic. I'm just so sorry you had to lose him/her Carol and Jemma |
3 Attachment(s) Here are some pictures I took of him today. He's already acting like mama and sleeping on his back, its too cute! He loves his stuffed animals too, I guess its his instincts to cuddle with them like they are his siblings or mama :) |
omg he is tooooo cute!!!!! I am so happy he is doing well!!! Good Luck! |
