Yes, I have had several puppies with white paws, they don't stay white as they mature they turn to the gold/tan color. |

yorkie pups white on chest little on paws My puppies were born with white on chests and one had a tad of white on a back foot. Are these what they call parti yorkies or will they turn colors? I am not sure what to tell people when I sell them. Will I have trouble selling the puppies- they are 6 weeks old now and still white. Thank you for any help- this is all new to me. |

I have 12 day old yorkie pup and I just noticed that he has some white on his chest and back paws also. I am so glad to have found this site cause other sites are saying that there is no way that a yorkie can have any white on it. I rescued this pups mom around 60 days ago and didn't even know she was pregnant. The vet didn't even know so it was quite a nice suprise for us to get this little blessing!!! |
White in these areas are of no concern...but you do not want white on the black body or head...although some silver looks white... |
Poppy had white toes on her back feet, a white patch on her chest and a white patch under her chin when I brought her home (6 weeks old). She is now 8 months old and the white on her toes has turned tan as has the white on her chest, the white on her chin remains but is much smaller then when she was a pup. I understand this is very common in yorkie pups and has nothing to do with the parti gene. |
I as well have 2 yorkies (father & daughter) with white chest & daddy has a very small spot of white on his paw which you can not see anymore but his 2 nails remained white ( see through)... the white chest is seen if you really look at it... but then again my yorkies became very silver... :) I never thought anything about it, I just think they are special with the extra little white :) |
