has anyone ever heard of them? its a long story heres a link on whats going on thanks in advance. Something very fishy is going on with this rescue - MalteseTalk.com Forums - Maltese Forum

I can tell you that this organization is not a reputable rescue just by reading her website. Two things jump out:

1. No reputable rescue would give papers on a dog because the only reason for papers is to breed and rescue does not encourage breeding of dogs unless they fit the standard. Papers mean nothing is you are looking to save a dogs life.

2. Her website does not encourage spay/neuter. Again reputable rescue spays/neuters all of their animals. Any rescue knows we are killing 3-5million dogs a year due to overpopulation so this is insane.

3. Her prices are outrageous and you can buy a Yorkie for the prices she is listing.

4. Anyone can put anything they want on a website....it happens all the time and people should not believe what they read but investigate. Anyone can apply for the 401 (I have seen breed clubs right on here state they are 401 for their rescue) but this boils down to not paying taxes to the government and if they do not pay taxes then it doesn't matter. You can go to the state attorney general to report her but it will boil down to how she is handling her taxes.

5. The Yorkie that is being held in petfinder is more than 2#'s.

If you find out more information please report this to Petfinder as they will remove this (so called rescue) from their website as people who do this are the lowest of the low.

I would call animal control in the area and see what they have to say.

I would also look at ripoff.com to see if anyone has anything to say about her and I would also try to track down the vet so I could get as much info as possible to shut this person down and hopefully to send them to prison for this scam.

1. when i called the actual breeder she said he was fixed before she sold him to that petstore(plus it doesnt matter if he was fixed or not i would have gotten him fixed all of my dogs and my parents dogs are fixed)
2i know the price was high...also i didnt get a yorkie from there i got a maltese but my yorkie i paid 1250 for (at a petstore)

iv been googling her name, the rescue name nothing really comes up....there is only 1 complaint on complaints.com which is from that "crazy ellen" thats on her website....i really just dont know what to do next being that i cant find much on her i will contact the attorney general see what they have to say thanks for your help

ok so i called the IRS as per them its not an approved reconition(sp?) , theres no record of tax exemption the lady also told me to go to guidestar.org and look up to see if there was any tax returns nothing showed up so i asked the lady ...was there? she wouldnt tell me

any idea what that means? i dont have a clue lol :confused:

Wow, thanks for the info on guidestar.org. I have always had to call the IRS and now I can easily look up who is lying on their website to sell more dogs.

What this is basically saying is that this person has never returned a tax return and asked to be exempt from paying taxes. This means she is probably not doing anything illegal with the government in regards to her taxes but she is scamming the public into believing she is a reputable rescue.

Just exactly what would you like to have as an outcome to all of this?

Make sure you call animal control in the area to get more info on this person.

honestly i dono what im lookin for i just feel like an idiot getting played...i dont know why shes lying just say puppies are for sale older dogs are adoption .........just for lying and playing people if i knew now about all this i probally wouldnt have gotten him i really wanted either a rescue or from a breeder that i met with and saw the dogs ect. i already have(between me and my parents) 4 dog that were bought at a petstore so i wanted to really do the right thing when it came to this one seems like now we have 5 petstore dogs

wont animal control just go there and take the dogs away? i dont want that either we know how ny animal control is 2 days there and the dog is killed

Just call animal control and ask if they have had any complaints on this rescue or this "breeder/broker".

Not all animal controls put dogs down that fast. Where does this woman live. Other rescue's might be fully aware of this person also. Also unless these animals are living in horrible living conditions they can't take the dogs away but she can be forced to stop selling these dogs under the name of rescue.

This person is scamming people by saying these are rescue's when they are NOT!

suffern ny....they had all the dogs out running free in her yard i didnt see her house...but on her website she did admit her house is messy and cluttered but clean so i dont know ill call animal control and see what they say

and she told me that there have been complaints about the owner and she is also running foundations other different names however she didnt give me the other names but this lady is under investigation.
