I just notice everyone seemed to skip that little detail. The word...many leads me to believe it's been discussed multiple times. |
I have shipped my Skyes many times, adults and puppies with no problem. I have had Yorkie puppies shipped in but have never shipped a puppy out. I did have a flight attendent pick up a puppy for my also. |
My Mistake I'm sorry, bchgirl you are absolutely correct. My dh & I realize after the initial contact that they were indeed brokers . We had NEVER dealt with that type of situation before (now we are wiser ;)) I should have posted at the time that I posed the question. The two sites as well as two individuals (?) that contacted us after viewing our ad on AKC gave us $%@* about not being willing to ship. When we told them that we not only did not ship, but would not relinquish any of our babies prior to an approved application with 4 references and a meeting face to face; needless to say I still have all my babies and they may end up growing old with us ;). As I had said in an earlier thread, we DO NOT make a living on our babies....far from it. But in the face of this hard economic time, I would not want to offend any one who might have to use a brokerage service in order to pay their bills :(. My question was posed as to make sure that dh & I were not being unrealistic in wanting to meet prospective parents. As I said earlier, we project human emotions to our furkids, just trying to make sure we weren't nuts ;). By seeing the answers, we are not alone. :D |
I love this post, I have never shipped any of my puppies before and I have never had to think about it. They have alway found homes very fast, but here in the last 2 months, with every one losing their job, my husband too!! everyone want a puppy for pennys. I have alot of money in houseing, food, vets, ect. I can't give them away!!!! hello! I have 3 little maltese puppies , that is almost 12 week old, I have come off my price and people think that can get an AKC champion bloodline Maltese for $300, it does not happen. I have start thinking about shipping and that is way I love this post. To the ones that has been shipping can you tell me what airlines you like the best and about what is the cost. any info you have I would love to here it. I do not want to use any brookers. I can go there. My puppy has always been just something for me to do being a stay home mom but not with my husband mill closing, I need to get these babies sold!!! |

I am not a breeder but I give you :thumbup::thumbup: for not shipping. I would think it would be best if the dog was transferred in the cabin with someone and not in cargo. (it would be too stressful on BOTH of us!) |
