Just wanted to post on how great my experience was with xxxxx.com. The Teacup Yorkie I received could not be cuter, and more healthy, she's such a cutie! Can't wait until I can post some pictures of her.. Does anyone have any advice on toys for the teacups? Thanks :) | I truly hope this is not just a bait post meant to get everyone all worked up. :( In the event that you are being serious and to alert others who may read this and take it seriously...
1) There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. Any breeder who advertises them as such is the kind of breeder you want to avoid. It indicates that either the breeder has no knowledge about the dogs they breed, or just no regard for them in general. It's a common red flag among Yorkie enthusiasts. It's a marketing term used by unethical breeders to describe dogs bred to be extremely small--something no reputable breeder would ever do. Many people opt to educate themselves on the breed they are willing to make long term committments to FIRST and come across this in their research. Those who don't bother to research first are often taken advantage of by shady breeders with "teacups."
2) xxxxx.com is not a breeder, it's a brokerage site. Such sites where you buy from the "middle man" who ups the price to make a profit--such businesses are generally frowned upon. :thumbdown It speaks volumes about the breeders who supply them, which reflects on the dogs they are producing. What kind of breeder would sell their pups to a company to place for them and not care what kind of home they end up in. |
