Blumoon Yorkies Has anyone ever heard of Blumoon Yorkies? If so, what can you tell me? |
I've heard wonderful things about her from a few people. I met one lady in Kansas City that had three yorkies from Blumoon and highly recommended her as a breeder. She said she truly does do everything she says on her website (Bile Acid Tests/blood panel/spay/neuter all puppies before they go to new homes). I also had a friend who inquired about a Blumoon puppy. She ended up not getting the puppy but thought the breeder sounded wonderful. I personally love that she has all puppies BAT, full blood panel and spays/neuters before they leave. Very responsible  She also has some beautiful dogs. Of course no person or breeder is perfect LOL but I have heard good things about this one. |
I think her dogs are beautiful and I'm sure very well taken care of. I had some contact with her when I was looking for a puppy in 2005. I chose to go with a different breeder because the puppy was $400-600 less. When she called me and I told her I had chosen another breeder because she was just out of my price range, she went off about how I was getting a sick puppy and not to call her when my puppy was dead, etc. . I've also heard that she retains partial ownership rights on all her dogs, I have no idea if that's true. Just be sure you're read her contract very well. |
I would highly recommend GiGi w/Blumoon. She is one of the few breeders I would ever recommend. Michele is right about her doing EVERYTHING mentioned. I'm not crazy about males being neutered so early (another subject) but certainly understand why she does so. And in order to get one of her puppies I accepted the neutering as part of the deal. My Reno is a Blumoon baby and I couldn't be happier with him - he is exactly what I wanted in my yorkie. I'm not aware of her retaining any ownership rights. Her contract is one that any responsible exhibitor/breeder would use. |
Don't know her personally, but from the looks of everything, seems like a very responsible breeder. |
She is who she says she is and does do all the required testing as stated in Myfairlacy's post. She's a very blunt person ( more so than I am LOL ) but she is very responsible and a reputable breeder. On the co-ownership part it's only for her show dogs and not her pet puppies if I'm correct. I would for sure recommend her for a pet yorkie. Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers |

 Exactly! She also has the costs of testing both parents and getting their AKC championships before breeding. Another plus with Blumoon yorkies is that they are practically house trained when you get one, as it's important to Gigi to get them started out right! Yes, she is blunt and honest but I find it hard to believe she would ever tell someone "not to call when their puppy was dead". |

I have heard she is very blunt too....but I don't know her personally and have never talked to her. Only have looked at her website and from talking to a few people. But she's someone I'd consider and look into if I was looking for a puppy. |
Oh she's a breeder I would consider and recommend to anyone looking for a quality pet as well! |
Thank you for the information on Blumoon Yorkies. Please let me know if you have any other information on them. One more question. Has anyone ever heard of a breeder by the name of Cindy Totten from Illinois? Thanks in advance. |
I know Cindy Totten. She was a member of our all breed kennel club but did not renew because of time issues and she lives over an hour away from where we meet. She shows her dogs. I don't know the particulars of her breeding program but my impression is that she is careful and serious about her dogs.definitely someobe to talk to/consider. She is also a talented artist. |
Hi, I have to tell you I would highly recommend Gigi. She breeds a beautiful dog. These dogs are well trained when they arrive and mine has a fabulous personality. They are also appropriately sized. You might pay a little more for the dog, but I wouldn't chance it with anyone else. Beautiful dogs! |
I purchased a very small puppy from GiGi in June of 2008, her name was Trinket. On Monday, I accidently dropped Trinket and she died immediately. The guilt is almost too much for me to bear. I called GiGi immediately, I wanted to GiGi to know how very very sorry I was and that it was a terrible accident. I was scared, embarassed and ashamed to call GiGi, but inturn, GiGi was very kind an compassionate. Before we hung up, she said if I needed anything "just to call she would be there". When you arrive to pick up your new puppy, she's very very accomodating, I felt as if I had known her forever. Her yorkies are exquisite and it shows. |
