Indiana House Bill 1468 Go to American Kennel Club - akc.org and then go to Legislation. This bill has already passed the house and is going to the Senate Committee. This affects all breeders who sell over five puppies per year!! This is a violation of our Civil Liberties. Vote NO to House Bill 1468. The akc website link, will put you in contact with your governor and senate e-mails and phone numbers. Please take time and Write your elected officials. |
please please vote no hb1468 I agree whole heartedly we all need to read this bill from start to finish. If you only read part you think it will stop puppy mills. It wont. I live in the middle of a Amish community these puppy mills dont sell to individuals they sell to brokers. Who is going to catch them. You dont know where the puppy mills are they just look like a nice Amish home. This bill is only going to hurt the person who is a honest breeder and show breeder. Not just Yorkies people if you own a cocker spaniel they have 6-9 puppies a litter they will be breaking the law. Where did you get your Yorkie from a rescue most of us got them from a good reputable breed vote NO!!!!! |
Yes, this is a horrible bill. Commercial breeder =5 puppie sales per year. |
Please see YT Rules: "Though YorkieTalk does not allow political threads, we make an exception for legislation that involves animals, as it pertains to the community. Going forward, if you would like to open a discussion about a bill, please either post the content of the actual bill into the first post or paste the link, via the bill's state, into the post. Please do not post an interpretation of the bill from an organization that already has a formed opinion regarding the bill; this does not foster discussion of the actual merits of the bill. Rather, it leads to discussion about who/what is behind the bill, which isn't productive. Posts that largely focus on criticizing who might be behind the bill, rather than the merits of the bill, will be deleted. We hope this helps generate positive discussions regarding the potential pros and cons of animal welfare legislation. Thank you." If you wish to discuss this bill, please re-post according to the above rules. :) |
