light yellow sticky mucus I noticed when cleaning little girls bottom this morning a yellow jelly like blob attatched to her vulva. She is going for a scan on monday to confirm/ not pregnany. She has gained 4 0z approx 115 g, does visably look no different, no sickness, just more loving. Does this confirm pregnancy in your opinions, she did have a phantom last time. I have done extensive research, with conflicting advice. I am so excited i cant wait till monday to know, i suppose i will have to for the correct answer. How about feeding, some say add cottage cheese or egg, some say not just give a puppy food, any ideas i only want the best for her. :) Thanks in advance x |
I do believe that is a sign in early pregnancy. I remember my female having a discharge something like that early in the pregnancy. My vet says that as long as they are fed a high quality puppy food during pregnancy, no other supplements are needed. To much calcium could cause eclampsia. Good luck and keep us posted. |
This was a sure sign for Ellie that she was pregnant. She was 3 weeks or so along before I changed her over to the puppy food. I make sure that she's not getting any other supplements. I made the mistake with another bitch by giving her nutri-cal every day. She ended up needing a c-section because her uterus wouldn't contract. The vet told me that dogs are not like humans, they don't need vitamins while they are pregnant because it will interfere with the natural way of labor. I haven't given any supplements to Ellie except when she wouldn't eat. Then I gave her just a tiny tiny bit of nutri-cal. We are still waiting for her to go into labor, she's due any minute now. |
Please keep us posted on Ellie's progress!! Quote:
