please help i'm freaking out i have this little tiny yorkie:aimeeyork she weights like about 2 pounds, she is over a year now but like about 8 months ago she was diagnost with liver shunt she been in heat two times already and i have to have her separate all the time:( but like three days ago i notice sort of like dry milk in her legs i exquezes her chichis out for a little bit and milk came out of her chichis but i know for sure she haven't got hook with one of my males can it be a false pregnancy??? i'm so freaking out... besides this she is still acting normal and eating the same :confused::confused::( |
If you are POSTIVE that she never tied with one of your males, then it is likely a false pregnancy. (How sure are you that she never tied?) If, however, there is a possibility that they did tie....then you have something VERY serious to panic over. But again, you say you know for a fact that they were separated at all times, so nothing to worry about, right? |
yes i know for sure the they didn't get hook with eachother i had them separate the whole time. i two males but one of themis neutred alreay and the other one is not but i know for sure they didn't got together.. why do this happen????false pregnancy??? |
That can happen with a false pregnancy but if she has a shunt, why wasn't it repaired along with a spay? |
If you have an intact male in the house, you cannot rule out that she isn't pregnant. You need to get your girl to a vet asap. |

A two pound dog can have surgery for both LS and spay with the correct anesthetic protocol although the only place I'd consider having it done is University of Tennessee or maybe Cornell. Of couse the bigger the better though and I would be very nervous about putting a two pounder under also. The milk thing happens occasionally and some dogs who are having a false pregnancy even strain to develop their "puppies". |

strain to develop their "puppies". what do you mean?? I'm sure she just have the shunt i have her in some medications also in a diet too but we get really nervous because not so long ago i was trying to get one of the boys neutered and i don't know waht happened the they called me from the vet really worried the he had die for a few seconds and thank god they brought him back alive.. __________________ |

If she got around your unneutered male at all, she could be pregnant. If she is having a false pregnancy, the hormone that is telling her body to produce milk can also tell her body to deliver the pups. So she may strain and push like she is delivering. It's not very common though. She may not even need surgery if she has MVD (small shunting throughout the liver) but spaying is pretty important if it is possilbe to do safely. I would really hope she is not pregnant if she has a shunt or MVD because it can be passed on. |

you i think with my unneutered dog was because they had probably too much dogs that day because probably they were in a rush and probably they didn't give him the right amount of the anesthesia too much i would said i know they give him two shots the was the anesthesia i don't remember the names right now |
